Ooh, the spoiler that's a lie. Good one.

Leeee's on the offensive after I brutalized him all over the board recently.

You brutalized me how? Because you posted a link for a song that I will never listen too from a band I won't buy an album from?

Because you know the inner workings of the Little Rock music "scene"

Because you think every Evanacence song is brillant? You go Ken......

When did you get so serious? Are the yellow people bringing you down?

I just bought all 'Clan of the Cave Bear' books, 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' and the first book of the Discworld series 'Colour of Magic'.

Right now I'm reading 'The Mammoth Hunters' the third 'Clan of the Cave Bear' book. It's an amazing series so far, best I've ever read.

I couldn't get into the Discworld books. I didn't like Pratchett's writing style, nor did I find him funny. I had once bought about 17 of them at an auction and ended up selling them on eBay years later. I just couldn't get into any of them.

I haven't got to reading any of it yet, I've heard some great stuff about Discworld though and I used to play the Discworld adventure games a long time ago, fun games, especially Discworld Noir, weird stuff.

I played the first Discworld game and loved it. Eric Idle was the voice, so that was a plus! =) That's why I bought the books, but I just couldn't get into them.

I've heard countless people tell me that they're great, though, so I don't think my opinion is anywhere near the majority opinion.

the only Discworld one i have is "feet of clay", which isn't that special imo.

Pratchett did right an AMAZING book with Neil Gaiman, though - Good Omens. it's probably my all-time favourite. i've read it some 4 or 5 times.

I am not serious and I am back in the US briefly. I prefer yellow people over white people anyways most of the time.

Clan of the Cave Bear is a great book, the rest is just soft core porn, caveman romance novels.

I find terry pratchett hilarious. his best character is Death, who suffers mood changes ranging from depression to puzzlement to euphoria. honestly, Death is really funny. Especially the time he tries to find some meaning in life, so he tries drinking, getting a job and gambling.

bought Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere".

i quit the historian, a book that can be read skipping entire paragraphs without missing anything isn't worth finishing.

Just finished with Robert Jordan's The Shadow Rising and must admit I'm glad I persevered because halfway through I wanted to quit. After 4 books the series is still going strong and I hope the next one will be worth the time.

Now halfway through A Clash of Kings by George RR Martin and its amazing. The scope of the book is incredible and I dont know how he keeps track with the multiple plot lines. And he stays original! Damn this is some of the best books I've ever read.

The Wheel of Time is an amazing series...keep reading. I read through nine straight before I stopped, but eventually I want to re-read the series through all eleven that are out now.

Right now I'm reading the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind...I bet some other people here have read it--excellent stuff. Right now I'm on the second book...nearly 1000 pages, damn.

That will be my next read after I wrap up The Dark Tower in a few days.

Thankfully book 7 is eating book 6 alive so far.

Oh man.. If there ever was a fantasy series that completely sucked ass, its The Sword of Truth series. I have yet to understand why it has any fans.

Eh? Why don't you like it? I've read a lot of fantasy and I think it's pretty good...

right. what do you guys think of Wilbur Smith's "egyptian" books? River God, The Seventh Scroll and Warlock, they got nice reviews and all.

I admit Jordan can really annoy me with his endless descriptions of clothes and the way his female characters always bitch about men, etc. However, the fight scenes and storyline somehow make up for that. But Martin remains the master of fantasy and Jordan dont come even close.

The Dark tower is finished. I'd have been a lot happier with the ending if it had cut off before the Epilogue (or, y'know, if King hadn't decided sometime before Wolves of the Calla that he was abandoning a coherent story to turn the series into his own epitaph).
