Come on, man, SOAD and FNM are not even doing remotely the same thing, unless by that you mean playing music in the vague area of "maintream alternative metal". (And not even really metal in FNM's case)

I don't think they sound all that similar (except for the eerie similarities between Ugly In The Morning and SOAD's vocalist), but whenever I hear SOAD, I can't help but think they're trying too hard to be like FNM... It's weird.

Listen to the vocals man..... esp. on Death comes in 26 carefully selected pieces. Mika and Serj are pretty similar.

Yeah, Mike Patton would be worth killing so he wouldn't make any more shit ass music. SOAD is just beneath murder, especially that Bono wannabe front man they have.

what i find funny about SOAD are the blastbeats on "Attack". That song was played everywhere for three days here, and no-one realized that they were listening to death metal drumming. lol.
