You should murder them. Apparently that's OK, as long as you show remorse, though.

Yeah, Mike Patton would be worth killing so he wouldn't make any more shit ass music. SOAD is just beneath murder, especially that Bono wannabe front man they have.

Well, Mike Patton does make some shitty music. That I agree with.

And what's the Bono comment? His activism, or do you think he sounds like Bono? If it's the latter I really need to kick your ass.

come on bro, his lame ass rock star activism of course.

Well, that doesn't concern me at all. I'm a music fan.

Bono is a lame-o, seeing as how he spends half his time talking about helping the needy, and the other half working out how to avoid paying tax.

You never said they wrote shitty music, you just said

That was your reasoning to not liking him. And I know you don't like their music, that's a given, but he did burn you by saying

U2 has some great albums. Bono however, should stop with the activism. It's great that he wants to help people but he shouldn't be so proud of himself because of it.

I thought the article was interesting. The first thing that I will say is that my favorite genre of music is metal by a long shot. Having said that I also like the blues, I love classical music (which is incorporated into a lot of metal music), mellow type stuff. That is the great thing about metal and why I feel it is the greatest genre of music. I mean there is the genre of Metal, then there are god knows how many subgenres of metal, and on top of that there is subgenres of subgenres. Metal has so much to offer and I think that there is something for everyone depending on what you like. There are the bands that try whats new and all the other shit that comes and goes, but its always metal that remains strong and true to itself. I consider myself the most passionate metalhead in the world. The thing that I hate the most is some of what Ben was talking about, the closedmindedness of many of the kids today. The thing I cant stand though is that when a band actually becomes popular, for some that automatically means oh they sold out and well cant listen to them anymore  I want metal albums to sell well and sell a ton of records if it means the band stays true to what they do and dont change styles because they want to sell more records. I think that when a metal band becomes successfull and hasnt given in to whats style is going on at the time and doesnt give into trends. that is the greatest thing that the band itself can ask for as well as the fans.

one other thing I would like to comment on about something someone said earlier. Downloading does make a band more well known, but at the same time, the band and management and promotors and everyone involved in getting the band out on tour may not know how popular the band really is, so therefore making it hard for people who actually like the band to go and see it. Album sales may give a better indication of that

noodles why is it you hate people who say that? you cant possibly say that it doesnt happen, why cant people be happy that they havent changed their sound for anyone and that they have actually become a successful band, imagine that. Do you not feel that many times and to a certain degree, this is in fact what happens?

It happens all the time. Those that disagree are those that hate it when bands get popular.
