Yeah that's pretty much exactly what I thought about Brotherhood of the Wolf too, except the version I saw had subtitles instead of overdubs.

I saw silent hill last night, first hour was kind of cool, then from 1:00 to 1:30 it was entertaining but kind of hokey, then from 1:30 to 1:50 it was just plain stupid. It would have been cool if it had just ended when the lead girl walked into the big bright light where Alessa was.
It wasn't great or anything, but its probably the best ever adaptation of a video game.

I agree it definitely started better than it ended. The first time Pyramid Head appeared onscreen I was just bowled over at how frickin' awesome/weird it looked. Some of the best use of CGI I've ever seen.

"A Few Good Men"...saw it for the first time last night. Incredible movie--Cruise and Nicholson were great.

No offence, but I think when you get a bit older you'll realise just how dumb and cheesy it all is. I mean, its an enjoyable film, but I doubt in real military courts you get a confession out of someone by shouting at them. :D

Lady Vengeance - Not bad at all.
Romance and Cigarettes - Started out like a musical that was actually good, but didn't have enough songs in it. Kate Winslet is great.

Damn I am jealous, I really want to see Lady Vengance, have you seen Sympathy for Mr Vengance?

No. Never was into the Asian horror thing before, although LV isn't really horror. More along the Kill Bill lines. Undeniably a good film, though.

5x2 - Alright. The Memento-styled timeline doesn't really add anything, though.
Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas - Again. Good fillum.

None of it is horror, LV is just the 3rd installament of his revenge Trilogy Sympathy for Mr Vengance and Old Boy being the other two.

Yeah, I realise that, heh heh...the point was that Jack Nicholson was arrogant and believed that he was in the right, which was why he confessed...not because of Cruise's yelling.

I dunno, maybe I will think it's cheesy when I see it ten years from now or whatever.

Yeah, it originally came out like that, but it became this weird little cult movie so they added the overdubs. You may have to buy the 3DVD version to get it, though. I found it used for $14.99.

For the record, this chick is hot:

New Best Friend was entertaining, although thats probably because there's hot chicks with drugs + sex in it.

Nightwatch - I hate to say it, but at least Van Helsing made some sort of sense.

I finished watching this earlier today, what the fuck happened here? The first two movies were excellent! This one was just, well, retarded in too many ways. First off, Dracula appears in this one. Does he look like a badass? Fuck no! He looks like this:

Image

They pull him out of like a 2,000 year nap, and he looks like that. Shaved head, nicely trimmed goatee, and a model's wardrobe. Brilliant! The whole movies was just total cheese, even Blade sounded stupid, and he gets totally ghetto a few times, which is ridiculous considering he's always with white people. Jessica Biel is mad hot, so that's cool. Parker Posey is a total cutey, so, like, word. Ryan Reynolds is hilarious! I wish he did stand-up. And he's fucking JACKED!! Seriously, the dude is a monster. I never knew he was that big.

Otherwise, the movie was fairly lame, if not decent.

I know, how ghey was that?

And he wants you to know how much work he put in, too! Srsly, I don't think ever had a shirt on once in that Godawful Amityville remake.

I think Jessica Biel became less hot in the space of time between TCM03 and Blade Trinity.

Certainly her norks were less prominent.

I'd just like to pat myself on the back for the use of the word "norks." :)

Rolf! Well done, forum ninja.

ANYWAY on Sunday night I watched Phantasm - amateurish, poorly-acted, scatter-plotted 70s horror. Monday night; Phantasm 2 - awesomes!

Hmm I would like to see the Phantasms at some point.

Last film I saw was Walk The Line, and before that Motorcycle Diaries. The latter was really awesome, I though. The former was ok but I wouldn't really feel the need to see it again.

Walk the Line...I was so drunk. Don't remember a thing about it. Fell asleep halfway through, walked 500 meters from the cinema and puked.

I may be going to Alton Towers this week, but if that falls through I shall spend the ticket money on said sphere.
