Yestarday, I saw an independent dark comedy called Little Miss Sunshine. Watch it if you're interested in a dark twist on the standard "feel good comedy." Particularly hilarious is the father, a wannabe "motivational speaker" with both a cliche "Nine Steps Program" (with such trite and shallow steps as "Good Enough Is Never Good Enough") and a ridiculous "all or nothing" attitude towards life.

I feel the same way. Fahrenheit 9/11 was totally childish. Sure there are some funny things in it but Moore's full of crap most of the time.

In Columbine, he does have a point about american media, but he quickly forgets about that and goes on pointless crusades just to satisfy his ego. I mean, why the hell did he went and hassle Charlton Heston. He already made a point that Canada has a LOT of guns and people dont kill each other, so why go to Heston's house and show a picture of a dead girl. That was lame as hell.

I liked the parts where he interviews Marylin Manson and Trey Parker though.

just saw "fun with dick and jane" at an open air festival, it was a nice film. the bit where they're robbing the fat guy and tell him not to laugh was hilarious, as was the thank you to ken lay and his pals.

Hell, yes. The way it lifts you up when they're all playing basketball, and then crashes back down later on....

Over past few days:

Hannibal – Meh. Worth watching for Hopkins, but the ending is crap. Hannibal Motherfucking Lecter wouldn’t do that. Read the damn book.

Scent Of A Woman – Meh. Al Pacino is convincing as a blind man, but hey, it’s Al Pacino, what do you expect? And whatever the heck happened to Chris O’Donelle, he used to be in lots of things, then vanished...

The Devil’s Rejects – Better than I was expecting, nice soundtrack.

The only part I didn't like about that movie was that they had like 8 chances to escape...

I just watched this between last night and tonight. It's about the Salem Witch Trials, for those that don't know. Quite an interesting time in our history. I thought it was a very good movie despite all the negative reviews it got when it was released. People back then were fucked up, indeed! They'd believe anything. Wynona Ryder's character is pretty twisted; the maniacal look on her face while people were being hanged was great.

And, goddamn, she and Keira Knightly look so much alike sometimes it's just weird. Anyway, good flick.

I was forced to watch that in English class in grade 12, I thought it was decent, 6/10-ish, my teacher was obsessed with it.

"look at the lighting in this scene everyone! MMMarvelous!!"

I'd give it a 7/10. The ending should have been a bit more dramatic, I think.

Not until then. And maybe Carrie would have a better chance if her distinct horsiness was less obvious, whereas Ms Weaver still looks great at 50-odd.

Dead or Alive - It is a truly bad film, but hugely entertaining with a bunch of mates expecting the worst. It has Holly Valance in it and she's fucking hot, but the film is still ridiculous! Ah well, cinema is free for me so I've never got anything to lose other than my time.
