Alien - Hot damn. Best sci-fi I’ve ever seen, makes Star Wars look like the crap it is. How can you fanboys prefer Carrie Fisher to Sigourney Weaver???

You'd never seen Alien?

I still haven't.

Everybody has at least one unseen mega-hyper-ultra-hit movie.

Myself? I've never seen Blade Runner.

just saw Poseidon at the open air festival. it was raining just slightly and it was kinda windy so it helped the movie's atmosphere :P

not a bad flick i guess.

I think Poseidon is VERY VERY VERY similar to Stallone's DAYLIGHT. A bunch of people stranded in a very hostile environment that's about to colapse, and they just go from one near-death situation to another, losing people in the way, and in the end they miraculously escape.

I just watched this between last night and tonight. It's about the Salem Witch Trials, for those that don't know. Quite an interesting time in our history. I thought it was a very good movie despite all the negative reviews it got when it was released. People back then were fucked up, indeed! They'd believe anything. Wynona Ryder's character is pretty twisted; the maniacal look on her face while people were being hanged was great.

And, goddamn, she and Keira Knightly look so much alike sometimes it's just weird. Anyway, good flick.

you should watch "Blood on Satans Claw" or some good Nunsplotation if you want to see good torture and heretic trails, check out La Sexorcisto or Alacurda. Good shit if you are a sleaze like me.

I always had a thing for Ryder, she still looks good I think.

House of Sand and Fog - OMG someone mistakenly getting shot in a drama movie... how original. I guess it was OK, like 6/10ish. I just felt sorry for Ben Kingsley's character the whole time, its not his fault that Jennifer Connely is a flaky bitch who is dating a psychotic cop.

House of Sand and Fog is an awesome movie. The acting was great and Jennifer Connely's character was not a "flacky bitch" she was in all her rights to claim her home back due to an "administrative error". The problem is that Ben Kingsley's character was also in his right, it's not his fault the system made a mistake. You can easily make the parallel with this story and what's happening with Isreal and Palestine. And the so called "unoriginal ending" fits perfectly with the story, bringing an emotionally charged ending. You can so understand What Ben Kingsley's character is going through. Seems like you should have concentrated a little more on the story setting.....

Yeah, the book would probably be way better since the movie seemed to cram a lot of stuff in so parts that needed more development, like Jennifer Connely and the police dude falling in love enough to cheat on each other, could get it. Also I called her flaky because she thought her husband should want kids if she wanted them, she went 8 months without telling her family they broke up, she stopped opening mail about her being evicted and overall did a lot of stuff that made me really not sympathize with her character.

Ben Kingsley's such a great actor. Everyone go watch Sexy Beast. And, no, I don't mean Radagast.

The only reason I don't want to see that is because of how bloody annoying it is.

Just started 24 season 4. Two episodes in, and I don't like any of the new characters, especially the creepy Turks. Chloe's a lifeline.

i'll have to follow the third one on tv, though.

The Secretary of Defence rocks.

And you thought they couldn't find a more obtrusive head of CTU than Chapelle? Ha! :lame: Stupid season 4.

Primus - Hallicino-Genetics Live 2004 DVD

A really great live DVD. I really want to see them live now. They have some cool improvised parts, and know when to pull back into an actual song, unlike some bands (*cough the mars volta cough*).

I recently watched Rosemary's Baby which I had never got to see before. I had some expectances because "Repulsion" by the same director is one of my favorite movies. Although I liked Rosemary's Baby I thought It had a feel aching to the Hitchcock movies - which im just not a big fan of, so in a sense i was a bit disappointed.
