The only reason I don't want to see that is because of how bloody annoying it is.

Just started 24 season 4. Two episodes in, and I don't like any of the new characters, especially the creepy Turks. Chloe's a lifeline.

The Secretary of Defence rocks.

And you thought they couldn't find a more obtrusive head of CTU than Chapelle? Ha! :lame: Stupid season 4.

I know what you mean about it, seems more bog-standard Hollywood than 24. Did you groan when you-know-how came swinging by to save Jack and Skinny? I did.

Boiler Room - I wish this movie would have just kept going. For some reason I think Giovanni Ribisi is a great actor. Him and Christopher Walken are always entertaining to watch except they never get any lead roles because they're kinda creepy looking.

Finished 24 season 4. The nutty daughter looks like Pete! And I think it wasn’t that bad, once it got going properly. Roll on 5…

just saw Snakes on a Plane.

i was expecting something like "airplane with snakes" (i thought they turned the movie into a straight-up comedy after all the internet hype), but it was still nice. the action bits weren't action-y at all, though.

old Sam and that guy whose only line was "get off my dick, snake!" pretty much saved the movie.

I watched this the other day and it was pretty damn funny! The whole "guy gets the girl" thing is easily played out, but I still found myself laughing. Wilson and Vaughn both have a way about them that even if the joke isn't a real zinger—that's right, I said it, zinger!—it's still funny.

Anyway, check it out if you haven't seen it yet. It's a good laugh.

What a pile of artsy, confused and muddled horseshit! This movie had no identity whatsoever! Knightley's boobies—or lack thereof—couldn't even save this movie! Of course, she showed her breasts after the bus she was travelling in flipped over and blew up. So what happens after? Do they make sure everyone survived? Nope! Her and the other guy decide to have sex in the desert and tell each other "I love you." Of course, up to that point she wasn't paying this guy any attention and was banging the other dude. Totally fucking retarded.

The best parts of the movie was with Christopher Walken and the ridiculous 90210 references, and the two 90210 dudes doing lead cameos. Otherwise this movie was a giant cinematic turd.

Just saw the Covenant. Man, was that a terrible movie. Like, MST3K bad. My friend quipped that it was "the male version of The Craft". Which it was, only many, many, many times worse. It was fun to laugh at, though.

I saw "Tsotsi" yesterday. It's an African film about this gangster guy ("Tsotsi" means thug in their langage) who steals a car that has a baby in it, and he has to take care of the baby...it ends up changing him a lot, etc, etc. It was actually pretty damn good.

It's weird to hear the language they speak in...it sounds like a blend of English, Spanish, and some African languages. Some of the words were clearly English.

did they click their tongues all the time? that's the coolest thing ever, i wish the english and/or portuguese languages had more "tongue clicks" in them.

The Last House on the Left - A very disturbing movie indeed. Movies were way sicker back in the 70's.

No...this wasn't a tribal type thing where they use that type of language, it was in South Africa where it's poor but actually pretty modernized.

Just saw Donnie Darko. It was really good (especially after I looked it up on Wiki and figured out what it was about...heh heh) but there was just way too much stuff going on. A lot of the plotlines weren't developed enough (what was up with that old lady?) and the ending left way too much stuff untold...until I read about it, I never figured out exactly why Donnie had to do all of this stuff. Still really good, though...it'll take two or three watches.
