Blind Guardian - A Twist In The Myth

Awesome album. Especially the first 5 songs. The final 6 I dont like as much, mostly since the only 2 songs I dont think are great (decent still though) are a part of them (Straight Through The Mirror and The New Order). I hate The New Order as an album closer, terrible choice there.

At least we agree that Nightfall isnt as fan-frigging-tastic as most people say it is.. Its good mind you, but lacks many things.

Wow, I'm surprised you guys like ANATO that much, most of the songs on that album were good in theory, but they somehow didn't have that killer-feeling that most BG songs have, it kind of reminded me of Maiden's Brave New World. I'd rank them like this:

Somewhere Far Beyond
Imaginations From The Otherside
Tales From the Twilight World
Nightfall In Middle Earth
A Night At the Opera

I wouldn't even include the rest, they're mostly weak, with one or two good songs.

I love the over-produced sound of ANATO, I love every second of that album. Its one of the best albums to just blast. I also love Maiden's Brave New World, its my favorite album from them, lol. Though I have only fully heard the 3 recent albums (BNW, DoD, AMoLAD) and random songs from old ones. I was never a big fan of Bruce anyways. He has a great voice but it bores/annoys me sometimes.
