I can't believe why I haven't heard this album yet. A band with that line-up simply have to kick ass!

Very good review there. I had not payed much attention to the review until I started listening to it. As soon as the first song started playing I was like "WTF...?? I know this song... isn't this like Helloween?" Then I came back to the review, read it carefully and my questions were answered.
As for the album, I can say it's a good one. I generally can not stand female vocals on metal. I mean can not bear it at all. The only thing I've ever listened to with females singing and actually liked are Ayreon and all of Arjen's projects but those are different cases. So I was surprised with this one because the vocals really fit and blend perfectly with the songs. Same with the rest of the musicians, they're doing their part perfectly.

All in all, it is a very interesting album and definetely one worth listening to. I would characterize the music as softer melodic metal. For me this album started as a 90 but by the end it was down to 80-, I think the quality of the compositions falls in the second half or maybe I got used to it. So 84/100 is my score as well.

The score also fell for me once the latter songs kicked in. The beginning of the CD is indeed stronger.

I have it, it is decent but doesn't touch that Axxis album. The vocals are ok but I don't know, something is just missing. I would give it a 6.5/10

Not many things have touched the Axxis album this year or in previous years. Paradise In Flames is amazing.
