Funny I have read a few interviews with the band and they all sound pretty exited about this album. After hearing the soundclips I am baffled and not sure what the band are hearing. The samples I heard were dreadful and sounded even worse than Thickskin (If That's Possible?)

I agree that most hair metal bands attempts at comebacks have been very dissapointing. However I thought Telsa's lastest was very good!

Peace....

Makes me sad to see this band became something like this after I just got into them about a month or two ago after finding, Slave To The Grind, for 3 bucks at a pawn shop. What an album that is. Can this new stuff really be THAT bad?

Two different albums, my friend. Do people always have to compare scores?

This album isn't so bad in that the songs are shitty, it's bad in the fact that it's like a split CD featuring three bands: a modern rock band, a punk band, and a country rockabilly bluegrass band! I liked Thichskin because it was a modern rock album with a slight punk edge. This album has few really cool rock songs—nothing like the old shit—but it just doesn't flow well. And the bluegrass tracks are pretty lame, indeed.

I didn't mind this album at first, but on repeated listens it just sort of dipped quick. I like more songs than Mike did, but this album could have been a whole lot better with a lot more focus.

Meh...I look forward to it, too, but it's not like Bring 'Em Bach Alive! was all that great.

Better than this, though.

Well...can't wait was a bit of an overstatement. He's certainly got an impressive line-up (and er, some other guy) together for it.

I thought Bring 'em Back Alive was mostly a live album anyway?

Yeah, there's like six orginals and the rest are live Skid Row songs, if I'm remembering correctly. It wasn't a bad album by any means, but I just wish it were awesome, you know?

Been a while but I want to say that Skid Row used to be the shiznet back in the day.Slave To The Grind will always be one of the best albums back in that era of rock/metal but after that SR hit well skid row pun intended.

Sorry without Bach at the helm the band is useless. His voice is what help drive SR to the top.

It's not just his voice. Sure, it helped, but the music was fucking excellent! Bach was just a voice, the other dudes wrote the music, and they're writing this new stuff.

Like I said, there are some good tunes, but two things hold them back:

1. Their name. No one wants Skid Row like this!
2. The music. There's no identity. Punk? Rock? Rockabilly? All three? Pffft!

I swear, had they not been named "Skid Row" when they released "Ghost" as a single from Thickskin it could have been a huge hit! But the name Skid Row, no matter how awesome they were back in the day, has negative connotations attached to it now simply due to the fact that 80s rock does. They need to change their name. Then work on the music.

Check out "Ghost," tell me you couldn't hear this being a #1 single on modern rock channels!

GHOST
