That is the longest sentence I have ever seen.

It's William Faulkner. I swear. He likes Edguy.

Ok... so I like this album now... a lot...

What the hell was I thinking? This is awesome! The only songs I don't like are Matrix, Trinidad, and Fucking with Fire. The rest ranges from good to fucking awesome!

I don't know what happened, I just felt like listening to Return to the Tribe and it kept playing so I kept listening. The next thing I know I'm jamming out to the entire album in my car on the way home from work and now while I'm sitting here typing this. This is turning out to be one of my favorites for the year. I love it when crap like this happens.

Wow! It's been a long time since this thread was utilized!

I had a similar experience. I liked it at first though, but then for some reason, I lost interest in it. Something got me to play it again recently, and I liked it again. I dislike the same three songs though. I think the last two in particular should have been B-sides.

I still think "Trinidad" is a festering pile of audio poo, and I'm not a huge fan of "Return To The Tribe," but the rest are very good to awesome! "Fucking With Fire" rules, dude!

It's more of a parody though, and I just don't think the joke turned out as funny as intended :P

I guess that is the only element of the album that makes this album fall short of being perfect IMO.

I love Trinidad! Reminds me of old Styx, and I love the na, na, na, na, na background vocals. It's so retro! Good fun music. The whole album is, and the fact that it's more mid-tempo appeals to me being an old 80s geezer.

So far, this album is still in my top-ten list for the year, but it's hanging by a thread. :D

This has been a great year for metal IMO. Edguy included.

Ohhhh, so NOW you like it, eh?
Well i guess better late than never. This album kicks so much ass its unbelievable. I must be one of the few who can get into Trinidad. Sure its not the best song, or the worst, its just a funny, cool track like Lavatory Love Machine...in terms of the funny side of it. But LLM is one of the best songs on Hellfire Club.

Rocket Ride was still was #1 metal album for 2006 until a few days ago when i finally heard Axel Rudi Pell's "Mystica". Now that album is #1...and should stay there. But i havent heard HammerFall's Threshold yet.....

I'm not quite a geezer, but this is precisely why I love this album so much. Def Leppard's Hysteria was the first album I ever owned and those big, catchy choruses and mid-paced grooves will hook me every time.

I like Edguy, but this album does nothing for me.. Their worst by far, I'm not even keeping it on MP3.

Still don't like this album. Which was really highlighted when they played a huge percentage of it the two times I saw them live this year (including fucking Trinidad  ) and I spent most of the time thinking "Come on! Play Headless Game!"

The Asylum, Superheroes, Return to the Tribe and Sacrifice are songs I can make peace with. Thest are just so-so apart from the absolute audio shit that makes up Matrix and Trinidad.

Fucking with Fire I can't really come up with an opinion on. Its just sort of there and sort of stupid.

The title track and Sacrifice are great. Actually, I think those are my favorite songs on the album. But yeah, the ones you listed are among the best as well.

Those are all good, but you're forgeting one of the best tracks on the album:

Catch Of The Century

"You will be nothing, nothing! You....nothing!"
"Helicopter"... i love that bit

Funny, but a pretty dull song.

I do like shouting "Helicopter!" at my unsuspecting friends on occasion. :)

Actually, the title track is a good song too. Meh, like I said at the time (maybe?), 60/100.
