Ararat - very good movie, although they didn't look very hard into the quebec girl's side of the story so the stuff she did was kind of unexpected and random.

Lady Veangeance - very moving and beautiful movie. Sort of alternates between being disturbing and a lot of fun to watch/listen to.

24 series 5. Holy shit, I wasn't expecting them to kill off my three favourite characters (apart from Jack, obviously) in the first episode...

24 is gay.

I watched Naked Blood which is sicko Japanese shit and Jenifer which is the Argento directed episode from the Masters of Horror series. Excellant and I don't love Argento.

Ararat was a serious letdown for me. Too confusing and boring.

I guess I should add this here:

I bought this today, just finished watching it here at work (I love this place!). It's a re-telling of one of the most famous Norse tales. Beowulf coming to the aid of King Hrothgar as a beast, Grendel, goes on a murderous rampage across the countryside. It's a different take on the old Norse poem. Grendel isn't necessarily a mindless, ferocious killer in this movie. He's basically just out for revenge and not interested in anyone but a select group.

Grendel looks pretty cool. He's called a "troll" in the movie. He's got like a prosthetic muscle suit on, which is odd. You can't really tell unless you really pay attention, though. I guess you just can't find muscular dude with Popeye's forearms without going prosthetic. Haha.

It's light on action, but heavy on intrigue and suspense, which I thought was interesting. It works, though. The dialogue is cool and not overdrawn. The cussing was a surprise, though. Haha. And the witch came off a little un-Witchlike. She seemed more like a sitcom smartass at times.

There are two really cool scenes. One in the beginning where Beowulf is killing some dude and he beheads someone and the body runs headless for like three more feet before plopping to the ground! Hahaha. It looked awesome. Then toward the end when the Christian dude gets bitch-slapped! Another cool scene. You gotta watch it, though.

This movie is worth buying. It's a new release it seems, was on sale for $17.99.

Argh I still haven't seen that... they were showing that series over here but I never saw the Argento one advertised, nor is it on DVD as far as I can tell.

He can't respond to you now. Jack Bauer is already torturing him and fake-killing his family.

The Ring- I completely missed this when it came out, but last weekend i borrowed the DVD from a friend. Pretty good.

The Ring 2 - Sucked. It seems that they made a sequel just to cash in on the hype. Some cool scenes (i particularly liked the scene where the dead girl climbs up the well, chasing the heroine) but a pretty pointless flick overall.

Hellraiser 3 - Hellraiser is my absolute favorite of all the 80's slasher series'. The third one is okay, some pretty cool scenes of violence, but nothing special.

Yeah The ring 2 was utter shit. She can possess a TV, but don't cap the well. she can't get out if the well is capped. Lazy, lazy writing overall.

Hellraiser 3-EWWWWW. A black mark on the series for sure.

Yeah Ive been going through the Hellraiser series, I just finished 5.. 3 and 4 (4 having some cool ideas, but overall it seemed rushed/edited to much or something) were both terrible. I thought 5 got back to being cool, despite the main guy being a total dick, it also seemed quite abit different in how it told its story, more build up and more of a mystery than usual.

The Descent - Started OK, but why do all horror films now just go silly? At least Creep had Franka Potente in it...
