actually ken, there are supposed to be 2 interviews. One in german and one in english. I'm guessing your 8 minute silent epic (cool band name potential there) is actually supposed to be an interview.

Why not just remove the track? Maybe there's two interviews combined in the final track? I haven't listened to it, probably never will. It would be odd, though, for them to put a German interview on the American release. Anyway, who knows! I'm just happy that there's something new on the official release. =)

hmm... mine was a 2 disc edition, with music on the first one and 2 interviews and some bonus oc stuff on the second. The bonus was the video to Another Stranger Me and a BG media player.

Mine is a one-disc version, 12 songs, one epic silent track and the interview.

Mine's the same - one disk, one extra song, one interview, and one silent epic (that just sounds so cool) :P

Maybe it's a moment of silence for Century Media

Maybe Misha should review that one epic track of silence?

Review: The most unique epic track in Power Metal history!!!

If it's an error, maybe they'll correct future copies. Then ours will become collector's items :dio:

I wonder—virtually every review website has reviewed an 11-track version of this album—how many of those are promos, and how many are downloads?

Bought this yesterday. Opinions to follow.

Cool album, really cool. I'd forgotten how plain weird Fly is. :) I've got the two disc digipack edition, which cost £11 - a bit of a bargain in these here parts.

I'm glad they've toned down the over the top layering from the previous album but managed to keep the epic and slightly progressive feel. The folkish moments are teh pwn. :dio:

I'm happy to report I'm finally beginning to like this album. It's strange it took me so long, I practically detested it at first. That shitty promo mp3 with voice over must have had something to do with it.

I bet you would have scored this higher if another band had released the album.

I'm not sure where I would score this yet. Above 90; below 95.

This remains an awesome album, in fact, it's grown on me.

Bah! I hate the scores of 93 and such. I tried it a few times and it makes no sense to me. If it ain't a 9 or a 10, it's a 9.5.

Any, this album is an 8.5. :)

I put it about the same. I think there's one truly lackluster song on the album, but the majority of it is great :)

Well, that's basically true for every disapointment caused by a major band, right? The standards one applies to the elite are so much higher.

Anyway, that score was based on the first 6-7 listens, when I didn't like it at all. I changed it now.

I love this. Though most of the stuff on my top 15 will most likely be death metal, I see this one coming out on top. :dio:

And that interview at the end of the CD is actually not too bad. They are speaking in English but have some.... "noticeable" German accents.

Meh; just a method of comparison for me. If I have two albums that I both think deserve around the 90 mark, but I prefer one over the other, than that one might get a 92.

I would give it a 96.4860232097. Approximately.

Yes this was made after Thomen Stauch left Blind Guardian and was replaced by Frederik Ehmke.
