Monster - Fucking loved it, see it if you haven't already

Hmm, I haven't seen that one. I've been meaning to, but it doesn't seem like an entertaining movie. Did Charlize Theron really earn that Oscar? To me it seems like it's easier to play a developed character like that woman in Monster or Hoffmans character in Capote, I mean they both got Oscars, but are the characters easier to play?

I've seen Capote and I loved it, mostly because it was really intriguing, Philip Seymour Hoffmans acting was great, but he had a lot to go by, maneurisms and stuff, that's why I believe he got the Oscar.

Borat-1000,000/10

Believe the hype, that movie is the funniest fucking thing I have ever seen. My head hurt at the end after laughing so hard.

Yes Borat is awesome, from the opening credits to the end credits (especially the end credits) you are laughing your ass off! It hurt my stomach. I also saw Saw III, hated it! Yes and I got seasons 1 and 2 of In Living Colour.

In Living Color was a great show. Do the DVD's have the music parodies? I heard those were omitted.

Dont know yet, I have just watched a few episodes so far. But when I do know I will tell you.

Yesterday, I saw about twenty minutes of "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and 20 minutes of "Boyz n the Hood". The 40 Year Old Virgin was funny...I though Boyz N the Hood was kind of ridiculous.

Boyz in the Hood is a good, not great, but I watch it when its on TV. Plus, you can't watch "Don't be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood) without watching it first. Btw, DbaMtSCWDYJitH is a freat movie. If you haven't seen it, go see it... NOW!!

My dad saw that a while ago and he said it was awesome. I think I need to see this.

Zoolander - Awesome movie, I remembered it being funny but forgot a lot of the jokes.

Fight Club - Good movie, except its vague attempt to comment on society annoyed me... not as much as American Beauty's did though. Vandalism and theft aren't exactly the way to reform society.

I'm quite sure that the filmakers weren't saying that they are. Edward Norton's character certainly doesn't agree with it, and he's the one we're supposed to be empathising with.

Exactly. Its more the idea that a movement like that could be started by the zombies of the modern age that's bloody terrifying.

Of course it could never happen, but if you let yourself get caught up in it then its really unsettling.

Then why did happy music play when the credit card buildings blew up!?

Anyways some more movies:

Little Athens - the fat dude from Lost makes a terrible Mexican. And yet another drama movie that ends with someone getting mistakenly shot. 6/10

Wayne's World - "do you know who is trying to kill you donutheadman?"
"no but they better not"

awesome movie :P

Yeah, the "You met me at a very uncertain time in my life" line almost made me forget all of the movies redeaming qualities.

Watched The DaVinci Code, pretty standard thriller that some religious jibber jabber, pretentious directing, and cool scenery made it about an hour too long. 6/10

and I actually didn't know that Tom Hanks could act that bady

The Pixies's - Where is my mind ...happy music ? dude get that wax out of your ears! lol
it's an erie song and it perfectly fits the ending. During the whole movie they point out that we live in a material world and put too much focus on material ( the IKEA catalogue home anyone) and at the end they destroy the banking/credit system erasing everybody's credit debts giving them all a new slate/ less materialistic world. The movie is all about the journey to make desensitized people come back to their senses(through fighting) to the fact that life is not all about material.

C.R.A.Z.Y. - A beautiful Quebec drama movie. I watched it withuot subtitles (because couldn't find batteries for my dvd remote) and since they were speaking in slang mostly i only understood some parts of it, but I still could tell what was going on. Probably the best drama movie I've seen since Requiem for a Dream.
