I just finished "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath... quality book if you want pure depression (with a slightly uplifting ending).

I'm reading a cool book called The Doubter's Companion. It encourages you to look at shit from another angle and not take things for granted, so I support it.

In the past day, I finished Adrian Goldsworthy's Caesar, read Asser's Life of Alfred the Great, and finished Richard III by Shakespeare. Am now reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susannah Clarke.

A roommate bought the whole Nietzsche series (like 20 fucking books) and I started reading Thus spoke Zarathustra. I'm in page 100 and I can pretty much say that I didn't understand a shit of wtf he's talking about.

Yup. Earlier I finished some Bukowski and a Jean Christophe Grange (black blood?) books and shit like that. Cool stuff.

I know it might seem silly, but especially if you're not well versed in philosophy books, you should consider buying a guide to the book (or at least find a good online one).

Still plodding away. I'me enjoying this one but I can tell its going to take me a while. Page 82 and so far every single conversation has just been veiled exposition. :D
