Some Scottish movie called Dear Frankie.

Couldn't watch 2 minutes of it before we had to put on the subtitles. I couldn't understand a word they were saying.

Kibakitchi - 7/10 Low budget japanese flick about a werewolf samurai and a town of carniverous spider geisha and other such demons trying to live in peace, but humans keep fuckin with their shit. I can see alot of people not liking this movie, but I had a good time.

I saw 'Crank' over the weekend. Suffice to say it's Jason Statham's best Movie since 'Snatch', is a total far-fetched action no-brainer, has a fantastic soundtrack and the funniest 'Sex-Scene' this side of 'Porkys'.

Highly recommended y'all!

That's what I'm saying. Take it for what it is.

Btw, Braveheart owns, I was Rollin' da eyez at his "Too bad they're christian..."

Just saw The Illusionist, oh man... what a bad movie that was. The acting was horrible, the story was predictable beyond belief, the ending sucked ball sack, but it still kept me entertained. 5/10.

I was agreeing with you. Not saying Christians are perfect, but you don't prove their cruelty from a film, Fridgey!

And The Illusionist was bad, says you? This doesn't bode well, I was rather looking forwards to it...

Yeah did not like The Illusionist either. It was silly and I did not care about the characters at all.

i saw The Pursuit of Happyness at the cinema, it was actually pretty good.

then i saw The Sound of Music at my aunts, and it was quite good! i mean, i couldn't stand most of the songs, but the lyrics and the story were pretty cool, plus Captain Von Trapp was a badass, only that loud-mouth nun stood up to him, everyone else shut the fuck up when he talked  :dio:

That movie was awesome, I laughed through the entire movie, it was fucking crazy. Both the writing and the cinematography was really good.

critics call this a bad Flemish version of Trainspotting but i kinda liked it. The book is better, and the movie has absolutely no story, is kinda cruel towards women and homo's and many others but the style of filming is good for a debut and they have a couple of great/hysterical scenes.

I liked The Illusionist just because it was colourful and had Edward Norton in it.

Kingdom Of Heaven - Apart from proving the essential madness of war, whether for religion or land (both equally worthless, of course) it also proves that Orlando Bloom can't act to save his life. Having him portray someone capable of standing up to Saladin is an insult to the great man. Not Scott's best, just about entertaining enough to allow watching. Surprisingly judenfrei, also, a few words for the thousands raped or butchered by the crusaders on their way to the 'holy' land would have been nice.

Mini's First Time - Not bad, better than I was expecting from the first ten minutes, but not that good either.

The Prestige - Really good movie, great acting, Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman did a great job playing rivals. The story was intelligent and interesting, although there where some parts where you almost didn't know what was happening. The mystical sci-fi vibe suited the movie very well, there were surprises all the way to the end which kept the movie interesting.

The Illusionist - Entertaining film in the same mood as The Prestige but without the "reality" of magic, concentrating more on the illusion in itself. Edward Norton was superb in his role, I don't think there is anyone who could've done it better. The story was great, but as somebody here already said, what happened was way too obvious and the end offered nothing. If The Prestige was more practical and surprising, then The Illusionist was more elegant and smooth but without any real climax.

I enjoyed both movies very much, I've always loved movies with magic :).

i was thinking about Bobby (the movie) again today, and it really, really, sucked. half of the subplots involved the people at the hotel doing nothing worthy of, you know, being captured on film and made a part of a story.

or did i just "not get it" because i'm not American?

I think you're being kind! I thought it was terrible, a movie that tried to be Gladitor, or even Troy, and just became a farce. Bloom should just learn a Joss Stone US accent and emigrate to the States. Never to be associated as British ever again!

The big names, like Irons and Neeson were good. And the ginger Irish bloke whose name I can never remember.

RW: The Wicker Man (new one) - I spent most of the film thinking, 'hey, it's not so bad', and then got to the end and realised it was, in actual fact, shit. Was the original REALLY that good?

I don't think it's because you aren't American, it's much more likely because the movie probably sucked.

Yeah that was another bad movie. I was entertained for the most part, but in the end it was a crap film. Cage needs to just not... act anymore.
