Kingdom Of Heaven - Apart from proving the essential madness of war, whether for religion or land (both equally worthless, of course) it also proves that Orlando Bloom can't act to save his life. Having him portray someone capable of standing up to Saladin is an insult to the great man. Not Scott's best, just about entertaining enough to allow watching. Surprisingly judenfrei, also, a few words for the thousands raped or butchered by the crusaders on their way to the 'holy' land would have been nice..

I think you're being kind! I thought it was terrible, a movie that tried to be Gladitor, or even Troy, and just became a farce. Bloom should just learn a Joss Stone US accent and emigrate to the States. Never to be associated as British ever again!

The big names, like Irons and Neeson were good. And the ginger Irish bloke whose name I can never remember.

RW: The Wicker Man (new one) - I spent most of the film thinking, 'hey, it's not so bad', and then got to the end and realised it was, in actual fact, shit. Was the original REALLY that good?

YES

Yeah that was another bad movie. I was entertained for the most part, but in the end it was a crap film. Cage needs to just not... act anymore.

The first Wicker Man is ace and used to be a bit of a 'Bible' to me. If it suffers from anything, then it is really dated, but no movie of that calibre deserves a 'Hollywood' remake, especially with Nicholas 'should be locked away in a' Cage as lead. What next, the Battle of Britain over the skies of Manhatten with Wesley Snipes?

It was pretty good...about a 7.5 or an 8 out of 10.

That movie was worth watching just to watch Cage punch a bunch of hippies and then get a beehive stuck on his head.

At my friend's advice, that's actually all I watched.

Training Day

Kind of dated, but only like 5 years I think. It's a great movie, but at the end it's one of the only movies where I am hoping for the "good" guy to win.

Overall 8 out of 10.

I actually quite like Cage as an actor. True, he's not particularly good (although Leaving Las Vegas was good), but he's always entertaining.

The Last Kiss - Fuck you, Zack Braff, and your stupid name and your bad films with bloody Coldplay in them.

Season 1 Episode 4 of Da Ali G Show.

This show is easily one of the best on tv. Is there only 2 seasons?

I love at the beginning of this episode where Ali G is sitting in the room with all the science people. and he starts talking about his friend Rainbow George and how he doesn't have any tecmology (exactly how he said it). How he sits around all day smokes his own homegrown weed and doesn't even have a tele. :omfg:

If you have never seen this show, you need to check it out.

Well, there are two different shows, the US one and the UK one.

I prefer the US one, and I hate Borat and that gay austrian fashion guy, Ali G is way better.

Im not a fan of Bruno either (the gay guy), but I like Borat. "Baseball is a lot like a sport we play back in Kazahkstan, where we take the dogs into the field and shoot them. Then we all go party."

I knew there is two versions, I have actually never seen the American version.

And if you didn't know, his next move is as Bruno. "that gay austrian fashion guy"

World Trade Center - I tried to be all cynical, but it was hard to criticise. Sure, the Jesus visions and fascistic marine weren't to my liking, but I got the sense that Stone was observing rather than applauding. People really do have Jesus visions and want to kill foreigners, y'know. And although it'd have been better if Stone was still a cokehead (or fuck, if Spike Lee had made it, or Woody Allen, although that I can't imagine), as a portrayal of a coupla cops stuck under rubble being rescued, it wasn't so terrible.

I used to like Borat, as much as I liked Ali G. After the Borat movie I just heard too much about Borat blablabla, all the media got to me, I hate to admit that. Anyway it's not fun if everyone knows about it, it's usually that way, I don't want it to be like that, but that's the way it is.

Oh BTW, it's not that I don't understand the Bruno-humour, because I do, sure it's intelligent, he gets people to say things that they normally wouldn't, but it's just not funny.

Why didn't you like it? Just curious, maybe a bit OTT for some things.....did you see Kids? I was going to check that out next.

Sex and Fury, early 70's Japanese sex and violence set in the meji era, along the lines of Lady Swowblood and others. Good stuff. This one has Christina Lindberg in it (from Thriller: A Cruel Picture) and that alone makes it worth it.

I watched The Prestige last night. A great film. Unfortunately, I caught one of the twists early with my keen eyesight! =( Of course, in the theater I wouldn't have been sure, but on DVD I was able to pause it and hit slo-mo. Maybe I shouldn't have done that. Haha.

Damn good flick, though.
