I watched The Prestige last night. A great film. Unfortunately, I caught one of the twists early with my keen eyesight! =( Of course, in the theater I wouldn't have been sure, but on DVD I was able to pause it and hit slo-mo. Maybe I shouldn't have done that. Haha.

Damn good flick, though.

Watches in awe as Ken takes being anal to another level. You must be fun to watch a flick with....lol

Anal?

I think he means anal-retentive...

I know what he meant; I just don't get how it applies.

that something like that bugged you so much you have to analyze it to the point of spoilng the end of the movie....

It didn't spoil the end of the movie, but knowing very early on that there is TWO people playing one part sort of gives away a good deal of the plot don't you think? Especially considering that the trailers and such imply that real magic is involved, as in the same person is able to time travel and such. Being a little disappointed find that out well before the storyline revealed it is being anal?

I found it rather boring, and the acting was not even sub-par. Some people just seemed really weird and came off as annoying.

Watched the Good Shepherd.

Got completely confused, as I often do with spy films

However, I did shush some kids pretty menacingly, and they did heed me rapidly, so that made me feel like a badass.

:dio: Take that you little fuckers.

I spotted it too, during the part where Fallon is sent to tail Angier. However, unlike the Sixth Sense, another movie where I spotted the key plot twist early on, I liked the Prestige alot. Even knowing one of the twists ahead of time, the ending was still awesome. One of the better movies I've seen in awhile, actually

Is "The Departed" really as good as people make it out to be? I still haven't seen it yet.

It's pretty good. Not the best Scorcese movie, but definitely deserved Best Picture over the other candidates. The performances are great, especially Jack Nicholson and Leo Dicraprio.

i liked the Departed, although I think the actors really carried it beyond being a standard "Lolz tricky plot" movie by giving it a lot of emotion too. Little Miss Sunshine was kind of like that too.

Personally I think Jack Nicholson was amazing in it. It's hard for me to take Matt Damon seriously after seeing Team America, but I guess he was good. DiCaprio was really, really good.

Anyway, I didn't like the way the movie was put together, it was just a bit confusing, although I liked it overall. Oh yeah, no way is it scorsese's best, it's a shame he had to win an Oscar for this one.

Yes...it was excellent. One of the most intense movies I've ever seen.

What other movies has the guy made?

Ok.........and this is mandatory. Every fucker talking up the Departed (and yeah it is good) must go rent/buy Infernal Affairs and see just how great it is and why it swept the Asian film oscars for almost every award. Serious guys, give in, stop being afraid of sub titles and see what great film making is all about. And here is a hit......it isn't about remaking a movie and "putting your stamp on it", especially when your stamp is exacly the same. Don't get me wrong, Departed ruled, but watch where it came from, it is seriously a great movie.

I actually really do want to see Infernal Affairs. I just signed up for Block Buster on demand, so off I go.

Actually, I got through about an hour or so, and then turned it off due to its lack of not sucking. Add that to the short list of shitty Scorcese films.
