hm, Radagast supports Glasgow Rangers and Blackburn Rovers, Rio supports Arsenal (i think), that spanish fellow whose name i can't remember supports Barcelona, Alex supports Dinamo Kiev, Stefan supports PSG, Dago goes for Lazio, and i can't remember anyone else's preferences.

Former Benfica and Portugal goalkeeper Manuel Bento passed away today at age 58.

He played 611 games for the club, having won 8 Portuguese Championships and 6 Cups. he was also the keeper during the '84 european championship, where Portugal made it to the semi-finals (eliminated by the eventual champions, Platini, Tigana and Giresse's France).

haha, that game was great, rooney gets injured, Liverpool lose in extra time (infront of the cop aswell :lol:

) and chelsea ain't gonna win the title! couldn't have gone any better!

Yeah, Liverpool dominated most part of the match, but it was quite sad they lost in the end. I'm sure Steve Finnan is feeling fucked up now for conceding the free kick.

Lookin forward to tonight, my nextdoor neighbour is setting two tv's up so we can watch both games at once!! Even tho Liverpool and chelsea are the two teams in england i dislike the most i hope they both win, but if they're good games i won't mind either way.

hehe, FC Porto was defeated and eliminated tonight at Stamford Bridge. they played pretty well but i didn't want them to go through after their BS attitude (making fun of Sporting Lisbon and Benfica for getting knocked out of the CL after Porto's own fiasco last year in a group that included such football powerhouses as Glasgow Rangers* and Artmedia Bratislava).

and well done Liverpool! i wanted to see a Barça x Chelsea final to settle the score between the two clubs, but i'm cool with Liverpool.

right now my favourites to win this are Man United and Chelsea.

Looks like we're still on for 5 british clubs in the last 8 if celtic and Arsenal can win tomorrow (the united game seems more like a formality then anything but this is football after all, anythin could happen). Looks like the rest of europe are just there to make up the numbers
