Now that Inter is out of the CL my interest has gone down some. I guess I'll have to cheer for Roma now, and hope for some playing time for Christian Wilhelmsson :D

I think Chelsea will take it home this year though. Drogba has been insane in the matches I've seen.

Damn, I missed the game. Was on set for a German telemovie shoot. The game was aired at 3.55am here and my shoot ended only at 4am. Goddamn tired, just shot back home and crashed on my bed......didnt even have my bath.

This is good news for Liverpool. I just hope they continue their present run in Europe.

Benfica lost to Paris St. Germain in Paris before a huge Portuguese immigrant crowd, 2-1. damn.

that fuckface Pauleta scored, and i can see the joke coming "like you always said mitul, pauleta only scores against shitty teams lololo". he wanted to cross, the defense/keeper had a misunderstanding and the ball hit the post and went in!

we were really unlucky, Katsouranis got a cold or a fever or something before the match and defender Luisão was injured. after Luisão (pretty much the commanding voice in our defense) was replaced by a 19 year-old making his absolute debut for Benfica we suffered 2 goals in 10 or so minutes :/ but this is mostly the coach's fault, as that kid showed promise for a good while now and he had many chances to field him and let him get experience and to adapt to his teammates, but he never did because he's a FUCKING JACKASS.

but i'm sure we can at least win 1-0 in Lisbon to go through, i just hope we're not so unlucky.

Give the kid a break. He's only 19, man. Blame the manager. He shouldn't have given the kid a debut at such a high profiled game.

a week or two ago Luisão was suspended and Benfica was playing the last placed team. the game was just as important as any other championship game, but in theory it'd be easier. that was a perfect chance to give him the debut, right? NO! the guy puts Katsouranis (a sweeper) as center-back and basically shifts the entire tactic just so he didn't have to put the kid on. fucking idiot.

anyways, i'm confident that we can turn it around in Lisbon. a 1-0 win will be enough and hopefully Luisão and Katsouranis will be back at 100%.

God, Rangers were shit on Thursday. I mean we were unbelievably shit. How we stolezord that equaliser in the last minute I'll never know. Thankfully Brahim Hemdani is the man. :) We have to play better in the second leg.

Regarding ROMARIO :

He is just 5 goals from reaching 1000. That's right : ONE THOUSAND GOALS. For those of you who didn't know, Romario is 41 now and he is still playing, obsessed with the thousand-goal mark. He now plays for Vasco Da Gama, one of the top Brazilian clubs.

Just 5 more, Romario !!

The best striker the world has ever seen since Pelé.

bah, the guy signed "3 week contracts" and shit with clubs from Australia nad Qatar. oh, the Australian league, how impressive :lame:

he was an excellent player (especially when he was in Barcelona alongside Hristo Stoichkov) and he's still very good considering his age, but i wouldn't say he's the best since Pele. what about Eusébio and Marco Van Basten?

I like the way Romario play. But I just don't like his attitude. He's too arrogant, yeah he's fuckin good. You don't have to brag about it.

And that fuckface Ronaldo (Brazil) is another asshole. How dare he fuckin challenge Pele's record?! Calling them invalid!! Bah!!!

By the way....Spurs....you idiots!!! I was so glad seeing them at half time!!! 3-1...in your face...you Portuguese shitlicker!!! (No offense Azrael, lol) God you guys are the fuckholes of the EPL!!!

I still remember how they screwed up against Man United years ago. Led 3-0 at half time......lost 3-5 in the end. DOH!!

dude, Mourinho is fucking excellent. one of the best, if not THE best coach around right now. and considering his age there's a VERY bright future ahead of him!

i can't wait till he takes charge of the Portuguese team (it's inevitable).

Dude, Romario in his prime was better than Van Basten or even the great Eusebio. Just search in youtube some vids of Romario in PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, or the 1994 World Cup. He won that world cup by himself. Not as brilliantly as Maradona in 1986, but nevertheless, he ended Brazil's 24-year wait practically alone.

And yes, he signed "3 week contracts" with Australian clubs and other shitty clubs, but that only got him less than 20 goals. What about the other 975 ? In 1995, he decided to come back to Brazil but he only played for top clubs until 2005, where he was the national top-striker with 39 years old. Pretty impressive if you notice that in that year, players like Robinho and Fred were still here.

yes, but the 1000 goal mark just doesn't sound as valid when you know that he wouldn't have reached it without resorting to inferior leagues. the first 900 and something, achieved at the higheest level, are already a great mark. he won't need a 4-figure mark to be remembered.

and i'll search Youtube, there's always time to watch good footie.

Benfica is playing Paris St. Germain on thursday too, we lost 2-1 in Paris but i'm confident we can beat them in Lisbon and go through.

Luisão is probably out for Thursday but Katsouranis is back at 100% and the youngster David Luís played a solid game yesterday for his League debut.

Yeah, I gotta admit, he's a really good manager. One of the best around. But I just feel he goes overboard at times. He is a person who never admits his team fared poorly, although they did. And he's got a fuckin crappy ego, plus arrogance. I just despise arrogant people.

yeah, i also have to admit, he is pretty stuck up, although he can put his money where his mouth is.

and did anyone see that Man United x Europe All-stars game yesterday? some great goals, especially Cristiano Ronaldo's excellent free kick. amazing player and proof that Sporting Lisbon is running one of the best youth academies in the world (other former Sporting young stars include Luís Figo, Simão Sabrosa and Ricardo Quaresma).

bah, Benfica just beat PSG 3-1 in Lisbon, terrible game. we scored 2 goals in 20 minutes and it looked like things would go our way, but then Benfica just started playing like shit all of a sudden.

and that JACKASS coach's decision to field Moretto instead of the infinitely more talented Moreira in the goal almost fucked everything up as Moretto conceded a lucky goal to none other than that FUCKFACE Pauleta!

EDIT - Benfica's second goal, by midfielder Petit: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1ge2f ... a-20-petit
great goal! :dio: :dio:

EDIT 2- FUCKING SEVILLA! i knew they went through, i just didn't know how. here's how: they tied the game 2-2 to force extra time in the last minute, and who scored the goal? THE FUCKING GOALKEEPER! then they went on to win 3-2...
Sevilla are a great team and it would be dandy to have them out of the competition...

UEFA CUP - QUARTER-FINALS:
SL Benfica (Portugal)
AZ Alkmaar (The Netherlands)
RCD Espanyol (Spain)
Osasuna (Spain)
Sevilla (Spain)
Tottenham Hotspur (England)
Werder Bremen (Germany)
Bayer Leverkusen (Germany)

If AZ is going to have more matches like this I'm going to have a heartattack. Thank god we could leave the stadium with a big smile :)

Now we have to play against Werder Bremen, it's going to be tough.

Werder Bremen are tough, and they're fielding a Portuguese player and everything (Hugo Almeida).

Benfica got Espanyol in the draw, imo the best possible outcome.
