DAMONE - WASTED YEARS (Iron Maiden)

This is truly a killer cover. It's all acoustic/orchestral with a female vocalist. The first time I heard I knew I knew it, but couldn't figure out who the hell originally did the song, because it's so different. You super Maiden fans may hate it, but it's really a kick ass cover, I think.

Dave Matthews Band does an awesome cover of that song, too.

I always like the covers of Dylan songs better than the originals. Lay Lady Lay by Ministry is very cool.

I know that everyone seems to hate the COF cover of "Hallowed Be Thy Name" but I rather like it. COF just Filthalized it.

To each his own I guess

The Deströyer 666 song Prometheus was originally done by some Australian singer/songwriter. Killer song. I haven't heard the original, but would like to.

The Sound Of Silence is my favourite cover track, its brilliant. Rosemary's Baby is my favourite track of 'The Director's Cut', I love its creepy atmosphere.

I didn't know The Sound of Silence was a cover, but it is awesome! I don't know if I can call it my favorite cover, though, since I've never heard the original song.

Sonata Arctica's cover of Runaway by Bon Jovi.

Oh wait, they're too stupid to realise that would be the most perfect cover ever, aren't they? Morons.

Type O Negative did a better cover of that one. Slowed down to half tempo and transposed an octave down. Very cool.

I heard a really cool cover of "Matchstick Men" by Ozzy and Type-O Negative... I think it was off some movie soundtrack. It was really amazing, though. The band Cracker also did a really good cover of Matchstick Men as well...
