changing isn't necessarily a good or bad thing, it depends on wether the band can change or stay the same without fucking up.

the only song i heard from this band is "Let The Demons Free" and it's pretty cool, i'll have to look into this album is it's heavier than that.

Still no new sounds on their myspace page. I have their 3 previous albums and I will check this one out to.

Did not like this band at first but their last album was actually pretty good. From the clips I have heard from this album it sounds like it will be even better and heavier.

They are pretty heavy and ballsy now but they sounded kinda weak when they first started out. Nice transformation! The singer is really good too. Has kinda a rough razory voice that really fits their heavier sound.

I'll probably order this one as soon as The End gets it in....

I've heard 2 tracks from this new album, both on a metal radio show. So far, this album sounds much more aggressive and heavy. I've liked both the songs...cant remember the first, but the one i heard tonight was "10,000 ways"...i think is the title

If you thought their last album was great (which was absolutely their worst!!) then you'll surely like this one!

When they started out they kicked ass! First 2 albums are great. I've heard good comments on this album, but so far I have zero interest in it (coz I've heard the crap songs Face in the mirror and Forevermore (edit)).

Yeah, I only heard clips of the first 2 albums but it sounded quite flowery if memory serves me right. I am not a big fan of that style. Their last album I said was good not great. Probably around 80/100 for me. From the clips I have heard of the new album it sounds a lot more heavy and aggressive. More in line with my tastes I guess!

I think 'Face in the Mirror' is a damn good song! Have not heard 'Forevermore'

Peace....

First weak release by Thunderstone. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Even Tools Of Destruction have grown on me over time. This however hasn't. Some good songs, some average ones and lots of uninspired garbage. They should return to the more melodic sound of The Burning.65/100

Btw, i'm back if anyone even noticed I was gone. :P

You probably have a different taste than I, coz I'm a big powa metal fan :)

But even on Thunderstone level Face In The Mirror is rather average. But since you've just boarded (on them), it's of course different...

I just found where to listen to the new album: http://www.nuclearblast.de/events/thunderstone/

Forevermore sounded great now! It was interesting that many of the songs sounded almost like Annihilator because of the riffing  Although there's a great danger of the songs starting to sound samey or derivative... Still seems like a good album now! :P

Glanzing through your fav bands list, you should check out Morgana Lefay, Rebellion and Paragon, if you already haven't? How come you don't list Iced Earth and Savage Circus?!? They should be right up your alley?

Thanks for the link! Just as I suspected a lot heavier and more aggressive. Thus I like it a lot, per my tastes! For sure gonna order it when I can get it hear in the states.

Per your question I do Like Morgana Lefay and Iced Eath quite a bit too. Just can't list every band under my fav list :)

W-O-W! Finally got this album, it's great. I don't agree with the review, though, since the album is not like the previous ones. It's a bit raw, much rougher, "dirtier", and heavier, there's lots of distortion in guitars, keyboards and perhaps in vocals too (or then the singer has drank too much whiskey). There's like two or three songs which has choruses comparable to the earlier albums, but all in all, Thunderstone seems to have changed their style quite "radically" (in this genre), and sure it does sound good. Really heavy and groovy. I wouldn't call this power metal, like their first album.
