Well my Civilization box set showed up today, so I've been playing Civ IV.

Just started Neverwinter Nights: Shadows Of Undrentide. This is much better than the original campaign already.
Trying out a monk character, unarmed and unarmored, should be interesting.

Fucking peasants. I rule them with an iron fist. Slavery and police state is the way to go. If they get unhappy, I punish them by destroying their population. Yep, definitely the best way to play the game.

I'm playing a game called 'Essays: Rape of the Brain' for the PC. It's played using a mouse and keyboard.
I think I'm losing, even with the assistance of the strategy guide.

Yes, they seem to have really nailed the control system. A vast improvement on the old pen and paper setup.

All right, I'm thinking of getting a new Gamecube game. Here's what I got so far:

Zelda: Wind Waker
Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime II
Star Wars: Clone Wars
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

Anyone have any reccomendations (preferrably in the First Person Shooter or action-adventure type games)? Thanks.

My first suggestion would be to get a PS2 or Xbox...cheap as hell and the games are 50X better.

But if you really want a game, get Resident Evil 4. Really the only good game on Gamecube that you don't have.

Brahm - Time Splitters: Future Perfect is a very cool FPS, made by some of the people that were also behind the N64's excellent Goldeneye.

the Prince of Persia games on the gamecube got glowing reviews on ign, maybe you'll want to look into that for action/adventure.

EDIT - not in the genre you asked, but Battallion Wars seems like a great game, and there's Soul Calibur II which is simply amazing (plus it features none other than LINK as a playable character!)

Depending on how cheap I can get them, I shall try to pick up all three- Resident Evil 4, A Prince of Persia game, and Time Splitters- though checking on IGN, the game seems pretty underground- was never reviewed and they don't even have a box picture! Still, I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks again.

Heatseeker: I was considering buying a PS2, but I think I'll wait a bit.. Get a wii, in which case I can sell my gamecube since wii is backwards compatible, and pick up some ps2 classics. Of course, all this requires money. I need a better job than Subway.

Pokemon rules...I remember back in the day when I used to play Pokemon Blue religiously. I started Silver about a year ago but stopped playing...maybe I should pick it up again.

Man, what the hell? I guess I should have waited to beat the game to fully judge it. I still maintain the first 2 hours were fun, but man oh man were those last 2 hours fucking awful (Yeah 4 hours to beat it). Now I dont even wanna play the 2nd disc which just starts the "story" anew with a different character (Ala Resident Evil 2).

No, Im moving on to Devil May Cry 3 now.
