.. yeah.. like Pizza ist Krieg... Pizza is awsome, good, cool etc .. prolly natural, since almost nobody outside germany/scandinavia knows what the fuck it means. "hmm.. Black metal ist krieg.. hmm.. must mean Black Metal is awsome or k3wl.. what a lame title!"

I only know what Krieg means because of the band Krieg, and many bands use the word krieg in album titles. (MetalArchives tells me all lol)

Yeah i really do wonder if people use ist krieg wrongly because its funny to do so, or whether they really think it means 'is cool'. Hee hee

Krieg is German... What does Norway have to do with it? Is it a Norwegian word too? I know it's a Norwegian band, but I think they used the German word because of Kanwulf, no?

I thought "Krieg" means "King". Sorta makes sense

"Ist Kaiser" or even better "ist der Koenig" would have worked here for "Is King".

But then "Ist der Koenig" sounds slightly too close to "Ist der Konig", which means "is the honey"

embarassing fact: i used to think the "ist" meant "1st" (because sometimes the i was capitalized), and that "black metal ist krieg" referred to the first wave, or attack, of black metal.

Krieg is an American band actually...and Nargaroth are German.
