So today, the grade 11 world religion classes took a trip to Toronto to visit some sites of worship. We went to a buddhist temple, a synagogue, a mosque and a zoroastrian fire temple.
I don't really want to resize the pictures, nor post them extremely large. So I'll post links.

This is in the memory hall. On the wall [you can see a little bit] there's lists among lists of names with pictures of those who have died and whatnot. That's a statue of a dead dude who was important in that community.
End of buddhism.
At the Mosque, we weren't actually IN the mosque, as we were not allowed, due to the non-muslim-ness [and dress code]. So we had to stay in the hall, which is all carpeted and spongy, as you must be bare footed.

self explanatory >_>
end of Mosque
We weren't allowed to take pictures inside the synagogue, even though it's a reformed synagogue. Oh well. We got to touch the Torah, well just the edges, and not the print. I also got to wear the Rabi's kippa. It was velcro
I was really really excited for the Zoroastrian fire temples, as in my text book it looks really really sweet. But we got there and it's some dudes house. And the flame, which they keep lit at all times, was like.. a candle. Unimpressed!

This is the fire.. chalice thing? Anyway, the teeny-tiny flame is the tiny light behind it.
It was a sweet time.
