A Good Year - French chick, Russell Crowe, what's not to like?

How overrated? He never lies about where is inspiration comes from? Maybe from internet fan boy ranting, but he makes exactly the kind of movie he wants to, no shame in that.

Overrated as in, his films are kinda crap.

overrated: yes
kinda crap: nope, and i want to smack you in the face with a poisenous blowfish just for saying the opposite!

That is good reasoning. I guess I will just check out the latest Russell Crowe has to offer then....

At least Crowe can act (and sing! :omfg: another actor with a band...). Unlike John Travolta, Uma Thurman, ol' banana chin himself, etc. I'll give you Buscemi and Roth in the otherwise overrated RD, though.

Watched Smoking Aces. Silly over-complex nonsense, although it's good to see Alicia Keys can look sexy as well as sing.

Yeah I didnt like Pulp Fiction as much as most people because of the actors but Resevoir Dogs, Kill Bill and Jackie Brown are all good >.>

Currently watching White Noise: The Light. Hilariously bad.

They are only overrated because of pimply fan boy lust on the net. They are good movies if you take them for what they are. I am a True Romance/Pulp Fiction guy anyways.

Fair enough as far as the cult status goes. I have very picky tastes, and just found them rather dull. Need to watch True Romance again, though, was very drunk at the time and can't remember anything about it.

Absolutely.

The eye-gouging scene made me cringe, though.

Spiderman 3 - horrible, just horrible. Bring on the next batman movie.

Hot Fuzz - expected it to be funnier. but it was still good.

The jazz dance scene is greater than you can ever hope to be.

I gave up on Spider Man. Watching Tobey macGuire have heartfelt emo-riffic converstions with every person he mets is about as out of character as Peter Parker can get.

Fracture

Very good movie, I think. Some might think it's a little slow, but if you're thinking about the movie it's not slow at all. Anthony Hopkins is fantastic as always, and Ryan Gosling does a very good job as well.

He didn't direct it, only wrote it (I think?), Gary Oldman is priceless in it as is Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken.

The Last King of Scotland. Holy shit, there was some gory stuff in this movie, also a lot of boobies  . Anyway, decent movie. The acting was great the story was ok, but as I was watching it I got the feeling I was watching Scarface gone Africa. 7/10.

The Pursuit of Happiness - Dull. No Oscar necessary, Mr Smith.

I think James McAvoy is a good actor so I should see this sometime.
