Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, what a masterpiece.
I'm not much of a black and white film fan but this one was simply outstanding. The character development was awesome, good storyline and great action. I'll definitely will re watch this chef d'oeuvre.

The jazz dance scene is greater than you can ever hope to be.

You said to me that it reminded you of the "yazz flute" scene in Anchorman, well yes it kind of does. But Anchorman was good.

Smokin' Aces - fun action thriller, didn't try too hard (except at the end... wtf??) and succeeded.

Casino Royale: Loved it, loved it, loved it. Daniel Craig brings the bad-ass back to Bond, and even the poker game was exciting. The pacing on the movie was impeccable.

The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult. Some of the references are dated, but these movies are still hilarious. I wish Leslie Nielsen still made movies. Strange to see a pre-murdering OJ Simpson and a pre-corpse Anna Nichole Smith in the same movie.

I've been wanting to see this one since it came out. I've always liked the Bond movies (some of them more than others, obviously), but I really didn't like Brosnan aside from Goldeneye. I thought this one looked really good, and even in the previews it was obvious that there was an intent to make him "dangerous" again.

I was of the exact same mind as you when it came to the Pierce Brosnan era. It sucked except for Goldeneye. I don't want to spoil anything, but I assure you, from the very first scene in Casino Royale you'll be saying "Hell yeah."

Agreed. Craig is easily the best Bond since Connery. I love the sinister and cold, yet cool and smooth aura he portrays that's been missing from the last few Bonds who seem more interested in being studly and cheeky than anything else.

I thought Casino Royale was the best James Bond I've ever seen. This one gets rid of all the cheese that's made me not really like any of the other Bond movies.

I loved Royale until the end of the torture scene, when a whole fuckload of new characters were introduced and I no longer cared what happened.

28 Weeks Later

Hell yes. Go see it. See it now! Worked great as a companion piece to the first film - not a sequel, but a sort of "what happens after the zombie apocalypse?"

It got me thinking that I'd love another sequel set during the original period of infection - since none of the events or characters of the first film other than the infection itself are referenced in the second one, it got me to thinking how the events of that film were only a small fragment of what was going on at the time.

Either that or 28 Years Later. :P

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. It would be very interesting to see if humanity had been wiped out or if they coexsisted with the zombies like in Day Of The Dead

He's ridiculous until he lures you into a sewer and kills you. Dont even try and pretend you wouldnt be seduced by the fact that, "They all float."

I always liked that movie. The book was better, but there are some cool scenes in that movie. I like when he dances around in the old pictures that they find.

Floating balloons will get anyone.

I haven't read the book, and only saw half the movie, but yeah, the old picture scene was cool.

The 2nd half of the movie is an entire movie by itself. All of the kids are grown up and come back to town and fight Pennywise.

Yah we had to stop right when the kids left the sewers after beating up Pennywise. I also love the scene in the shower, when all the showerheads get erections and Pennywise comes up through the floor.

The book IT captures the psychological terror aspect of Pennywise much better than the movie does. It's hard to capture something like that in a visual medium. Not that the book and the movie don't completely fall apart at the Giant-Spider scene anyways. I thought that was a really dumb cop-out.
