Doesn't have to be a classic, but it most definately should be reviewed.

It's definitely a classic, and hopefully someday soon I can get to it.

:dio: Awesome!

How about:

Katatonia - Discouraged Ones
Arcturus - La Masquerade Infernale
Ved Buens Ende - Written In Waters
Enslaved - Frost

Well, I'm afraid I'm a little underequipped to handle any of those. I stopped listening to Katatonia after Brave Murder Day. Discouraged Ones isn't bad by any means, it's just not really my thing. The only Arcturus I have is Aspera Hiems Symfonia, and I do like it, so I'll have to check out La Masquerade Infernale. The last two I'm pretty n00bish on, but maybe after I've familiarized myself a little more.

Do we not have La Masquerade Infernale on here? We still need Morbid Tales goddamit!

If any Kataonia album deserves Classic status, it's Dance of December Souls.

I don't think any Katatonia album needs a classic status, but that's just me. O.o

Morbid Tales definately deserves classic status. In fact half of the Celtic Frost catalog does, including the early Hellhammer releases. They had a huge impact on death and thrash metal....hell even on Nirvana.

+1, they had a huge impact in all extreme Metal, they even included some avantgarde elements in their music, truly a groundbreaking band.

Sad to see that I happen to be the only deathmetal head here.
No one deserves classic status as much as Edge of Sanity, with
both Crimson and Purgatory Afterglow.

Nope. Just Sham Mirrors and Sideshow Symphonies.

@ thread as a whole: Archive reviews for early Katatonia maybe?

I vouch for Discouraged ones as well
Katatonia has other albums that could be contenders in the future.

That one's been reviewed, and received a perfect score if I remember right.

One of these days, I'll get around to completing the rest of the Neurosis discography on this site.
