Life Is Beautiful - Meh. I can tolerate Roberto Benigni's nearly annoying 'acting', but it felt like a dumbed-down, whitewashed version of the Holocaust rather than something approaching the horror of what actually happened. Schindler's List is still the best 'caust film around, despite its faults.

I agree with you about Schindler's List, but Life is Beautiful was so creative. I thought it was really clever. Instead of random killing, and showing all the different ways the Nazis could murder people, they showed a father's love for his son. I don't know, I thought it was great.

Have you ever seen The Pianist? If you havn't check it out.

The Pianist was great.

Pirates of the Carribean 3

I thought it was very good, especially for how popular it is. Tons of great action, and full of humor at the same time. It did have a relatively complicated plot, with tons of twists. May have turned a lot of people off, but I thought it added a lot of depth to the story.

My dad (master's degree in philosophy XD) thought it was plotless and boring.

My daddy could beat up your daddy.

Quills - I think I have a new favourite movie. Its so darkly hilarious and ironic and cynical  . At first I was like "eh"... but by the end I was like " :D "

It was excellent, 9/10. One of the best casts I've ever seen with Anthony Hopkins, Morgan Freeman, the black guy from Blood Diamond, and Matthew McConaughey (who did a surprisingly good job).

I'm just at the beginning, the Captain just killed the farmers and the girl got the book.

That scene made me cringe.

Yeah, it wasn't that good. For a guy whose mother died in the holocaust Polanski was rather cold about it. I wanted Adrian Brody to do more than stare dispassionately as it happened.

And even with the father's love, Adam, you have to admit that it was rather toned down. They go on about the 'great sacrifice' the father made at the end. What great bloody sacrifice? He clowned around a bit, making it all a game instead of a matter of life or death, then got shot for dressing up in women's clothing. When you're in a situation like that, trying to make out everything is alright is insane. Read accounts from people that were there, the true heroism and love that was shown by some makes LIB look like the silliness it was.

Not a movie, but some documentary on Vampires on the History Channel. Started out okay, at best, covering the story of Dracula, the factual Vlad, and Elizabeth Bathory, but then halfway through it turned into some stupid fucking exposeè on gothtarded kids who think that they're vampires.

It provided lulz, but it was fucking stupid.

thats good to hear. Ocean's 12 was so terrible... I felt like the writer was laughing at the audience for wasting 2 hours of their lives watching the characters talk and talk and talk to build up to... a deus ex machina ending. Wow.

I watched that music and lyrics. You know it was pretty good, Drew Barrymore and Hugh made a good combo and he was actually funny as shit in it. If you grew up in the 80's and stuff it is pretty dead on, especially the fake video and stuff. lol

Pan's Labyrinth, excellant, like his movie the Devil's Backbone, just another great flick.

Saw this on the plane. It started off great and Hugh Grant did a good job, but then the cheesy dialogue and the scenes with Drew Barrymore started and it just sucked everything enjoyable out. Pop Goes My Heart was hilarious though.

As for Oceans 13- I hated Oceans 11 and was still dragged to see Oceans 12, which was even more horrible. I don't get what people see in these movies.

Hot Fuzz - Great! Haven't laughed at a film that much since Shaun Of The Dead, which is saying something.
