Actually, its "oops, my bad." But to make up for that, Michael Bay has introduced a transformer that talks like he's from the projects! Its oh so hilarious.

That sounds pretty lame but doesn't it make sense since the Transformers mimic our world to blend in? If that's the case it just shows how sad our culture is.

As for movies seen recently, I watched Running Scared this morning, the newer one with Paul Walker not the Billy Crystal one (which is funny as hell). The Paul Walker one wasn't bad just really messed up at times. It seemed to kind of drag on though.

Speaking of Transformers;
One of the main reasons that shitbag Michael Bay chose to make the robots look like thistles was because he reckoned that the old style couldn't transform properly in proportion. Well, I bought my nephew Barricade (the cop car) for his birthday, and fuck me, it took about half an hour to transform the bloody thing into a top-heavy, monkey-limbed mess that falls over with a thunk when you try to stand him up.
I hate you Michael Bay. Go back to directing Duran Duran videos or whatever the fuck you used to do.

So people were actually expecting a good movie out of Transformers? I remember that cartoon well, and it was basically a giant advertisment for the toys. There really wasn't anything to it outside of two robots meet and fight.

I thought both movies were overloaded on drama cheese but Crash was a bit better because it had a balance of sad/happy.

I hate Crash because it got the Oscar, I usually don't care about Oscars, but this movie was horrible. It's like they worked really hard on making it a sad movie about racial differences and the end result really shows how much they tried.

Babel was awesome the first time I watched it, the second time it was kind of boring. I have no idea why though.

Anyway, I wouldn't compare these two movies in quality, both are bad movies.

I wouldn't say it was bad, it was just inaccurate, contrived and had every Hollywood drama cliche in the book. But I think as far as predictable dramas go it was done basically perfectly

Well, yeah. The movie had good direction, it was really well put together, perfectly really, the ingredients were just all wrong.

Thats it though. All I was expecting was that the transformers be in it, that they fight, that one of them not talk like he was black, that the fight sequences were done well, and that I would be entertained. Alas, my dissapointments, high as they were, could not be met.

And don't forget the immortal "Oh shit! what are we going to do!" I heard they cut that out of the UK release.

Watched Dogma last night. Not too bad, actually. I liked Alannis Morisette as god, and Alan Rickman will always be awesome. Plus, whatever happened to Linda Fiorentino?

I think Kevin Smith should be declared god just for making movies with Ben Affleck in them watcheable :P

Watched Ever Since the World ended. Interesting concept (the aftermath of a plague wiping out most of humanity) and well done for a low budget, but I think in the end they were too constrained by the pseudo-documentary style to actually make much of a plot

Ha, yes. Matt Damon's always been quite a good foil, though.

Entourage is awesome, I love that they're airing it all through the summer.

I just watched Hot Fuzz. Man, was I disappointed.

So many people compared it to Shaun of the Dead, and a lot of people said it was better. I assumed Hot Fuzz should be great then, because I loved Shaun of the Dead. Unfortunately it seemed like they worked more on making the movie look funny than actually making it funny. I got tired of watching it about half way through and I was wondering when something funny was going to happen. There weren't many jokes in the dialogue, it was like they expected everyone to laugh at the ridiculous situation that the main character was in. Oh, and all that editing and those silly, silly effects, haha, yeah.
