I'm playing poker. I'm the bomb. I'll be rich.

I'm not actually interested in playing the guitar, I mean it'd be fun to be able to do it, but it's not something I'd work my ass off for.

Guitar Hero however is one of the most fun games ever made.

I borrowed it off a friend for a while. It is really fun, but, like you said, after about a week it got old and boring. Kinda like the Eyetoy.

I'm at a LAN right now and we discovered this amazing modification for Unreal Tournament 2004. It's called Killing Floor.

You start out with a knife, a pistol and 4 clips, you've got 40 seconds to fortify yourself wherever you want, and then about a 100 zombies are released on the map. You've got to kill all the zombies while finding new ammo and welding doors shut to keep them out. You can heal yourself and your friends with med-syringes and buy stuff from a shop keeper that appears after each round (each 100 kills or so), you gain some cash every time you kill a zombie. Every round gets harder, new types of zombies.

The best thing about this game is the atmosphere. You have no cross-hair, so it's incredibly hard to hit them in the head, and there's a
filter on the screen, it looks really grainy, kind of like silent hill, so it really feels like a zombie movie. And, the sounds are really cool.

Starcraft, Starcraft, Starcraft and more Starcraft.

I've been playing this game since it was released 10 years ago, recently I found out that you can watch others play online on observer maps. I'm not really good at the game but this observer mode is really helping, and now I've started playing all day, every day.

I wish they'd show Starcraft games on TV like they do in Korea, that'd be awesome :P

Hey dude, what's your account? Mine is Karmakosmetika, I play on battle.net Europe though. I suck at competitive games, but I'm slowly learning the trade, and so are two of my friends (we got into it again with the advent of Starcraft 2).

I added you, I've never seen you online though. I was wondering if you'd like to play a 1v1 game sometime, I'm really horrible at Starcraft so I like to play against other "noobs" whenever I get the chance. I'm not sure if you're a noob though. I hate it when people join noob games and they just own you.

Isn't that like saying, "why not go out and kill terrorists for real, instead of playing Rainbow Six" Guitar Hero, actually helped me a little with my guitar playing, as far as co-ordination goes.

Yeah because it takes exactly the same effort and money to kill terrorists and play guitar. George Bush should have gone for a fender than bash Iraq.

I kind of agree with you, but you could also say: "Why don't you go play football outside, hockey, driving, etc..." The difference between Guitar Hero and those are that in sports games you replicate a proffessional team experience- while in Guitar Hero, you're just playing a fake and dumb looking guitar neck thing.

Guitar Hero isn't about playing a guitar though, it's about the challenge, like Dance Dance Revolution isn't about dancing.

Playing a real guitar doesn't challenge you, there's no required score to beating a song, and you can't fail at a song. You can suck at it, but there won't be any consequences.

That's what most games basically are about and that's why a lot of guitar players like Guitar Hero. Somehow people have gotten the idea that Guitar Hero players think they are awesome at the guitar just because they like the game, relax people.

Your goals
1. Buy a real guitar
2. Play Raining Blood
3....
4.Profit

I'll give you 4000 internets if you achieve these. How fun is that?

Just got two games for the Gamecube: X Men Legends II and Medal of Honour: Frontline. Legends has been very fun so far... but Medal could do with a much better control scheme. Still, I'll get further before I judge.

Oblivion for ps3. Amazing so far, which is funny because I think Morrowind is horrible.

Really? I find Morrowind the better game of the two. It's friggin' huge! Which is probably what puts people off. Oblivion has far better graphics and combat systems though.

The problem with Oblivion is that it's completely empty, and your enemies level up when you do.

I mostly like the fact that when you attack an enemy, it actually hits them. I have no doubts Morrowind is bigger, I realized that the second I looked at the map, but Oblivion is fun, Morrowind was irritating. I did pick up Morrowind for 4 bucks at EB awhile ago though and after Oblivion, I plan to give it a 4th chance.

Isn't that a good thing? I hate RPGs where you're forced to spend 5 hours fighting to level up because all the enemies are low levelled

Yeah I quite like the fact they level with you. Im level 14 right now acting all tough shit strolling through the woods collecting plants for alchemy and I see this new enemy called a Spriggan "Ha!" I say, then "Shit!" and I run from it, and its summoned black bear.

The way I see it, with how the enemies level with you, it makes the map accessible right from the start, which I like more than walking a tad to far and getting ass raped by a bridge guarding skeleton.
