Watched the new episode of Entourage last night and a new show called Flight of the Conchords- both were hilarious.

Entourage is awesome, I love that they're airing it all through the summer.

I just watched Hot Fuzz. Man, was I disappointed.

So many people compared it to Shaun of the Dead, and a lot of people said it was better. I assumed Hot Fuzz should be great then, because I loved Shaun of the Dead. Unfortunately it seemed like they worked more on making the movie look funny than actually making it funny. I got tired of watching it about half way through and I was wondering when something funny was going to happen. There weren't many jokes in the dialogue, it was like they expected everyone to laugh at the ridiculous situation that the main character was in. Oh, and all that editing and those silly, silly effects, haha, yeah.

There were lots of jokes in the dialogue! Maybe it's an English thing...

It is very British. It's also the loudest film I've ever seen. The sound levels in the cinema were crushing.

I love british humour, my favourite tv-show of all time is british, Red Dwarf, and my favourite comedy of all time is Monty Python and the Holy Grail :P

I'm pretty sure I got all the jokes in Hot Fuzz, I just felt like the movie was a bit overhyped. I probably would've liked the movie more without all the comparison to Shaun of the Dead.

Yes, but Red Dwarf and Holy Grail are different types of Brit humour. HF had more English cultural references -> model villages? Timothy Dalton? the English view of the country? Yokel farmers? Hoodies?

Yeah I love British humour.

Canadian humour is awful. It could best be described as "droll" or fucking retarded.

And yet we're the most miserable bastards on the planet. Irony, huh.

Just started the last disk of Lost series 2, and already I'm biting my fingernails. You doubters need to try it again...

I drove all the way out to the Planetarium today to see a show, but the bastards changed the times and booked the whole thing out to a swarm of Japanese school kids. Arrgh! I was really looking forward to nourishing the inner nerd!

That would be true if they had taken out Luke and put in Lando. Luke's a fucking pussy.

Just saw Harry Potter. It was excellent. Other than everything they left out and stuff.

Over all great film.

I'll be taking my daughter to see that one this weekend. We're really looking forward to seeing it.

We caught Transformers last week. The special effects/CGI in that movie are just spectacular. Optimus Prime rules! :dio:

Scream II - Not bad, not as good as first though.

Plus, finished Lost series 2. Odd.

My brother's going to see it on Monday. I declined as I thought the book was underwhelming, seeing as they made 'Arry an angsty asshole.

Alliteration ist krieg.

I don't think i'd suggest younger children seeing it. It's really not as funny as the others, and it's alot more dark than the other films. Last night there were too many young kids just talking, getting up and going to the bathroom every 5 minutes because they were bored.

I loved the film though.
