You watch Richard and Judy?

Channel 4 had a documentary by fucking Richard Littlejohn a couple of months ago... sucky, sucky TV channel. Only good for Peep Show (when it's on) and the Daily Show on More4, IMO.

ALthough Channel 4 news is fairly good. The Guardian of TV news, as Jeremy Clarkson said.

I watch R&J solely to see if they'll do a piece on something "new" everyone and their mothers have heard about. I'm still holding out for a feature on "that new fangled rap music".

Really, Richard Littlejohn? "The furthest right newspaper columnist in the country"? Has Channel 4 been bought out by the Daily Mail, or worse, Rupert Murdoch?

As you said, Peep Show is just about the only good show on C4. I guess I find the Daily Show to Americany for my tastes, with it's celebrities I've never heard of and such.

I dunno, the more I watch youtube clips of TV from across the Atlantic the more Littlejohn seems really tame... quaint, even :D

But yeah, he did a documentary called "The War on Britain's Jews", about anti-semitism on this fair isle. I'm sure it can't be too hard to uncover some hypocrisy there... It was just quite patronising. They'd obviously had the idea of "ooh lets get someone controversial to handle this one" but it didn't really shed much light on the subject.

I really like the Daily Show, but then again that's because I'm quite interested in US politics and follow it quite closely and go to a lot of blogs about it etc. Once you start to get to know the characters they talk about it becomes way funnier. So they're always talking about (novelty anti-war Republican) Ron Paul, for example, but unless you're American or actively interested in US politics then most people here wouldn't know who that was.

Remember when he said those murdered prostitutes in Ipiswch had it coming? If American TV pundits really are worse, it just doesn't bear thinking about.

I'll admit to being pretty ignorant of US politics. I did like the comment the made on Iran being "the middle child of the Axis Of Evil"

I hate how Jon Stewart was like "lolz they're starting their campaigns for an election thats in 2 years" and then went on to cover just that... that and ranting about the Bush administration is basically all he's done for the last 6 months and its getting old. The Colbert Report isfunnier imo :P

...not that I watch them religiously or anything...

The Colbert Report looks kind of funny but unfortunately nobody shows it over here, as far as I know

Stephen Colbert is one of the funniest people alive. I love it when he gets so outlandish on his show that he can't even keep himself from laughing at the absurdity.
