Yes, I did get Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. And it rocks! Great soundtrack (except may be the battle theme), interesting if unusual battle system, good storyline, great 2D artwork (why do so many people pick on 2D games anyway?). Just an all around great RPG.

I love the 2D graphics as well, Sprite graphics kill realism anyday. At least in RPGs, playing Silent Hill or Metal Gear wouldnt be so good with cutesy sprites

Mount & Blade, propably the best game I've played in a very long time. Too bad there's no multiplayer though.

Playing NHL 2K8 online. Some people have no lives, my record so far is 5 wins with 9 losses. Putting me 598th overall. That's not a bad overall considering over 1800 people play this game. The sad part is, the guy who is ranked 1st overall has 168 wins with 5 losses. That is ridiculous. Some people are just pathetic.

Still Resident Evil, still shit-scary, especially on Normal mode, which I'm trying to beat in under (3, actually) hours to get the infinite rocket launcher. :dio:

HALO 3!!

I don't want to say its way better than Halo 2, but it is. SO much more to do, and the online is awesome. There is a leveling system as well as a ranking system. I am only level 5 out of 50 (i think) and my rank is Private Second Grade. This game is so fun, and now I can truely be called a nerd.

Other than that i am finishing up Blue Dragon and will start on Rogue Galaxy after that. If there are any 360 users here i will be happy to add you on my friends list. finished Breath of Fire : Dragon Quater the other day after possesing the game for ages. When i bought it the first time i only played it for 2 hours before having to restart through the SoL option in the game, but i thought i got screwed so i put the game away. And no i beat the game, though, i harvested XP through the SoL option, kinda cheating. On the other hand the game is not that funny after you have restarded the game 5 times ( the point with the restart option is to play thru the game several times, while getting stronger each time)

nothing beats Breath of Fire 2...

soon i have to finnish Grandia. Only need 10-15 hours on that game or so... and then Valkyrie Profile.. and then i'll by Valkyrie Profile for ps2... and then alot of other ps2 rpg games. For some reason the amount of rpg games has boomed the last few years. lots of chinese games has become avaible.. wee..

Thats kinda funny, Im goin through Rogue Galaxy and Final Fantasy 9 at the moment.

Its my second time through 9 though, amazing game, the best (and only good) ps1 Final Fantasy (I am very much alone in this opinion though).

i think all ps1 Final Fantasy kicks ass, along with the snes and FFX.
It's just a matter of being able to give in to the universe and become a part of it etc. I hated FF8 the first two times i played thru the game because the game was a very different from FF7. But now it absolutely awsomely cool. I see a patern on my own behalf. I hate all post FF 7 games when i play them the first time around. Haven't completed FF12, yet. I'll pick up on it someday, and hopefully it will kick ass. I think rpg games gets better when u kinda know what to expect.

Well I've fully been through 7 and 8 and with 7 I have attempted a replay about 5 times and each time I fail to pass the 15+ hour mark, I just cant get into it again, didnt like it much in the first place anyways. 8, well I will never touch that game again, ever. It was actually the only game I have ever given away.

9, 10, and 12 I like though, 9 being my favorite and 12 2nd favorite.

The best Final Fantasy is VI, by far, which is just a masterpiece in every way. I'd say VII and IX are about tied for second- and now I'm in the mood to do a replay of both. IV and V are pretty sweet too- the rest, not so much.

Damn, I wish I had that one, but I haven't been willing to shed 100 dollars for it on ebay yet... I do have the prequel on ps2, but I haven't played it yet (and I've generally heard it's not quite as good).

Currently playing FF VII, ESPN NHL 2K5, Tomb Raider

Anyone ever played the Suikoden series on PS2? I'm thinking of picking up 3 and 5... Or any other particularly good Adventure/RPG suggestions for PS2?

You cant really go wrong with Suikoden, it has its flaws like any game but they are good (keeping in mind, I've only played 1-3).

Some suggestions for good games though I would say anything by Level 5: Dark Cloud 2, Dragon Quest 8, and Rogue Galaxy. All 3 of those games I would put into my top 15 ps2 games. Some others maybe ICO and Shadow of The Colossus, both made by the same guy and have somewhat linked stories though not directly.

And of course since Im a Grandia nut, I tell everyone they should play those. The whole series is good, Grandia 1-3 and Grandia Xtreme is a dungeon crawler and can be alot of fun, but definately the worst in the series.

just finished Grandia 1... too damn childish for my taste, and the main character is just plain annoying. I don't think that it's a game worth recommending for "older" ppl in their 20's.

Suikoden 1 and 2 kicks ass. Unfortunately suikoden 3 was never released in Europe.

Recommendations for ps2 would be FF10 (maybe takes time to love), FF12 (same), Dragon Quest VIII ... and perhaps Dark Cloud 2 (never finnished the game, too much a work with the level-up system for my taste).

Games i'm thinking about getting: the Xenosaga series (importet of course), Suikoden 3 (would be imported as well), Valkarie profile 2, Lucifer's Call

Star Ocean 2 perhaps (never finnished that either, i fucked up near the end making it impossible for myself to get the ultimate weapons = impossible to beat the final boss)

:omfg: Grandia 1 > Any FF ever made, IGN even placed it above Final Fantasy 7 as the best games for ps1.

I get what you mean though, I think its a game for fans of anime and just over the top adventure stories, which is me. Keep in mind though, that Grandia 2 and 3 are far more grown up games, especially part 2 which features a sarcastic dick for the main character and is quite fresh.

But yeah, Im biased, I beat Grandia 1, 8 years ago when it came out and it was only the 2nd RPG I ever finished after Final Fantasy 7 and since then, its been my favorite game of all time, I love everything about it and Noriyuki Iwadare did an amazing soundtrack.. I can see why you find Justin annoying, he is alot like Naruto, from the anime in many ways, so anyone who doesnt like that show may not like him. I love Naruto btw in japanese only.. Like I said, Grandia 1 is mostly for anime fans and cheesy adventure purists.
