You cam do nothing but admire such talent that ronaldo has. And yesterdays tribute to the sporting fans shows that he is finally grown up.

Much as I love Walter Smith, we played our usual defensive footall in Europe (4-5-1 at home!) and it nearly cost us. Two brilliant runs from Alan Hutton - one to set up the first goal, the other to win us a penalty got us the result. Charlie Adam scored a brillaint goal.

Mourinho's style of ugly football doesn't quite fit Portugal's potential for, you know, sexy football, with creative players like Ronaldo, Nani, Simão and (when he's inspired) Quaresma, not to mention Deco when he's in shape, but i think the team would otherwise benefit greatly from his discipline.

i'd post this week's CL results, but they kinda sucked so i won't

Benfica lost and we're in last place in the group, meaning we have to beat Celtic and Milan in Lisbon and win at least one away match (versus Shakhtar or Celtic) to have a chance to go through. this is going to suck.

RBK's game against Valencia shows just what lives in that team.Theres a reason for why they have won the norwegian premiership 13 of 15 years. they are also the team who has qualified for CL most times in a row (8 i think).

Benfica lost 1-0 at Celtic Park. i think we deserved a tie, but either way Benfica are playing very badly atm...

Liverpool - ?! - after shitty performances for the CL and premiership their crushing victory tonight came out of nowhere. Besiktas are the weakest team in the group, but 8-0 is just a whole new level of ass-kicking.

Valencia - Ronald Koeman just started, but the guy from Rosenborg is also new. considering their team (Joaquin, Manuel Fernandes, Miguel, David Villa...), Valencia's performance on this CL has been very, very disappointing.
