somewhat the same with me, i think, or perhaps the third. I've beaten Grandia 1 twice and started on it several times.

What i don't like about Justin is, he is too optimistic, naïve and downright retarded at times. I mean, when Gaia is about to attack a village he would rather throw away the only option to save the world avaible at the time on a small town to save a few lives instead of saving all ppl in the world he live in because he thinks its wrong that a few lives should be sacrifised to save the many.. bah... the most annoying thing is that he is always right according to the writers of the game.
Dunno if that is similar to Naruto?!

it's not entirely bad the game, though. I like the battle system, even though casting spells sometimes takes forever. I like the slow old-school adventure start of the game, you know, everything is green and harmonic. The big towns are also somewhat a good feature.
I'll prefer FF over grandia 1, though.

The coolest battle system i have tried is however not the ATB system from the FF games, but a 2D side-scrolling battle system from Tales of Phantasia (snes) and Tales of Destiny 1-2 (psx). I wish i had the original Tales of Destiny 1-2 for psx, i only have them on burned cd's, and the games simply crashed at a given point over and over again (in Tales of Destiny it was near the end and in tales of Destiny II it was half an hour into the game). Despite the anime graphics it's somewhat mature.

Now see, that is what I like about him. And yes, thats the same as Naruto. They are characters that just dont give up, someone tells them to forget it and move on for the greater good and in a family friendly way they say "No, fuck you, I will save this village and then I will save the world" Its cheesy I know, but I like it. I like a hero that is a hero.

HALO 3!!

I don't want to say its way better than Halo 2, but it is. SO much more to do, and the online is awesome. There is a leveling system as well as a ranking system. I am only level 5 out of 50 (i think) and my rank is Private Second Grade. This game is so fun, and now I can truely be called a nerd.

Indeed, but I have only been playing online with my mate. I'm gonna got 360 on christmas and I want to save the campaing for myself.

Oh, and check this out mates. Just frickin unbeliavebly awesome!

Buying an X-Box 360 after work tonight. Not really sure if I should get the 360 Pro or 360 Elite. The Pro is $100 cheaper, but does the Elite have enough extra features (beyond the bigger hard drive) to warrant the extra money?

I also put Dead Or Alive 4 on reserve as the game I buy with it.

The Elite's a total rip-off, man. The only extra thing it has besides the storage is an HDMI cable, which is only useful if you have an HD TV and plan on playing on it. Doesn't have Wi-Fi, doesn't come with HD-DVD...nothing else. Get the Pro for sure.

I bought the Pro Edition. :)

The elite edition really just seems useful if you don't have a life outside of gaming.

CSS is really giving me the shits. I used to lag a bit a while ago, then I got my RAM upgraded to 1gb, and now I lag even more than use to, even though my ping is the lowest on most servers (averaging 6-12).
The only other program I have running while playing is Itunes, and I always had that open before anyways so it shouldn't be a problem.

Tried ET: Quake Wars, a decent shooter but not really worth all the ruckus.

Yeah, sure it's a good game if you liked W:ET but it doesn't bring that much new besides different weapons and updated graphics.
And when it comes to graphics in multiplayer I'm more of the "keep it simple" department.

ID Software is like the Metallica of the video game world. No matter how much the quality of their products declines (many argue that Doom 3, Quake 4, and Quake Wars have been inferior to their previous games), there will always be a certain level of hype surrounding everything they do.

I bought a total of 4 games today for my X-Box 360.

The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy with GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas (actually, this is a regular X-Box set).

Sonic The Hedgehog on the X-Box Live Arcade. Still a pretty fun game. If shallow compared to the Mario games. Also, it's kind of hard to believe that Sonic was thought to be a "cool character" back in the early-90s. Today, particularly at my age (25), he pretty much seems like any other "cutesy mascot character."

Thats a tough choice.. Both are awesome. I found part 3 had more action to it however, if that helps. More action made it a little less atmospheric (still alot of crazy atmosphere in it though). But 3 also continues a plotline from Silent Hill 1. So if you haven't played and beaten that one, I would say get part 2, since its a stand alone game.

I've been on quite a video game buying kick lately. I'm buying a lot of "casual games" now, since I don't have as much time to play video games as I used to. In other words, games I can play more at my leisure without really having to seriously commit to them. I bought Twisted Metal Black yestarday for my PS2, and this morning I bought Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 for the X-Box.

THPS3 is probably the first TH game I really enjoyed. TH1 bored me after a while. And TH2, while much better, was just too hard IMO.

i've just completed FF12.. i had already played for 57 hours when i decided to start all over, since i hadn't played it for quite a while.
I have to say that i was a bit dissapointed with the ending... The past ps FF games always featured one last bonus video. But meh.. nothing at all here, you are just left to guess it yourself it seems.

I posted this before but I'll post it again.

I play hockey games pretty religiously, and lately I've been having my way with NHL 2K8. I get to game number 32 of the regualr season on my Franchise and it freezes. It's total bullshit. No matter what I do it freezes. If I play the game and win or lose it freezes, if I simulate it and i win or lose it freezes. I look on the back of the disc and there is no visible scrathces or marks, and I know it's not my system because every other game works fine (Halo 3, BioShcok, etc...) I don't know what to do.
