I never really took it seriously, but it lost lots when they started killing main characters off a few seasons back for want of a better plot point, imo. I mean, SPOILER Edgar's death was sad, but the way Curtis was taken out in this season is just stupid. He's been a machine all this way, and now he's going to go nutty? Please. And bringing the Bauer clan into it is ridiculous when they've never previously been mentioned.

Season 4 and 5 were awesome despite the chracters being killed.
6 was just plain awful and I agree with many of the points you have mentioned as to why it suck so much.

Grindhouse - Planet Terror

I don't care about the dodgy special effects, or the completely corny and unbelievable story, It was fun, original and damn entertaining.

5 :dio: from me.

It wasn't that bad, I thought it was decent and it nailed the atmosphere feeling. Storyline could have been better but what do you expect from the horror survival genre ?

Saw IV - I haven't actually seen the first 3, so I didn't really get the plot, but I enjoyed it (well, as much as you can enjoy a movie like that). The hair pulling scene was a bit much for me though

Read the book "The Club Dumas" by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. It's what the manuscript for the movie is based on, and it's a million times more interesting than that boring movie. Stuff actually happens in the book, and the climax isn't a massive let-down like in the movie. I was absolutely riveted to The Club Dumas and could not have been more bored with the 9th Gate.

Same...hadn't seen any of the first three either but I went ahead and saw it anyways. I'd like to see the other ones, since I like the idea of them having to escape from the traps or whatever...but I thought they were supposed to always have a way out, but it seemed in this one that a lot of the time they would have died no matter what they did (like *POTENTIAL SPOILER* the fat guy who had to gauge his eyes out to get out of the machine...which he did but got ripped apart anyways) Anyways, it was pretty "eh" for me but I know that was because I haven't seen any of the other ones.

In my opinion all Saw films are eh...

I really liked the concept of the first one, two guys waking up with no idea whats going on and a puzzle to figure out (the dialog and acting were pretty weak though... The Cube was cooler as far as that concept goes)...then the second one got pretty lame with the whole "lmao old man so good with traps rawr". never saw the third or fourth.

Planet Terror - Definitely the better of the two Grindhouse films. It was like an american shaun of the dead but with a way higher gore budget XD
