I play hockey games pretty religiously, and lately I've been having my way with NHL 2K8. I get to game number 32 of the regualr season on my Franchise and it freezes. It's total bullshit. No matter what I do it freezes. If I play the game and win or lose it freezes, if I simulate it and i win or lose it freezes. I look on the back of the disc and there is no visible scrathces or marks, and I know it's not my system because every other game works fine (Halo 3, BioShcok, etc...) I don't know what to do.
How long ago and where exactly did you purchase it?

I bought it from an EB games here in my town, and I got it when it came out in September I think. Im thinking of either renting a copy of it and switching disks or buying another copy and then taking back the broken one and getting another game or getting the money back. And i am only doing this because I can't find the original receipt.

That sounds to me more like a corrupted savegame file. Check NHL2K8's forums and try to find out if other people have had the same or even similar problems. If that's the case, chances are that there's a workaround, patch, savegame fixer either from an official or an un-official source.

Cool, thanks I didn't even think about that.

Bought one last game before Christmas: The PS2 version of Half-Life. I used to own the PC version, but I sold it before finishing it. I regretted it, so I bought the PS2 version.

I heard they buggered this one up. Still two more weeks before it hits Blighty, so I'm hearing lots about it.

I don't know about the other versions of the game because I haven't played them but the PS2 and the Wii versions are great.
No problems whatsoever. People who complain are the minority, they are the people that will give feedback as the ones who don't have problems won't say a word.

Playing Ea Sports NHL 08 on PS3
great game, the game play is definitely the best I've seen a hockey video game. Graphics are good but could be so much better especially on the PS3.

lots of games coming up and I'll definitely get

Call of Duty 4 (PS3)
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (PS3)
Resident Evil 5 (PS3)
Devil May Cry 5 (PS3)
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 (Wii)
Trauma Center : New Blood (Wii)
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (Wii)

It's just too many to get and I definitely lack the time to play them all. I'll probably have to choose wisely.

I've decided that the downloadable content for Rock Band is sooooooo good, I'm buying a 360 juts for it. It's got Heroes by David Bowie to download, which is one of my favorite songs. And a Metallica album, but they won't tell us which one. My money's on the Black Album, but I'm holding out for Ride or Master. I just hope it's not St Anger.

Rock Band looks promising as well though it's song list so far is not as goos as guitar hero's IMO

But it'll have a shitload of downloadable content. Oh, and Timmy and The Lords Of The Underworld will be on it.

I've been trying. It's incredibly difficult.

Anyone seen Guitar Queero on South Park?

"You reached 1,000,000 points! You, are..... FAGS!"

You guys should check out www.scorehero.com in case you haven't already, oh, and also take a look at their custom song-section. There are some really good song charts to download for the PS2.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0wwcokVkp0

This was the best video I could find of the Dragonforce song.

Are you on scorehero? The standard there is so high, people say things like "I'm pretty mediocre, I've only 5 starred everything on Expert" and mean it.

No, I'm don't really play anymore, I used to play GHII a few months ago, then my friends got too serious with it and started aiming for crazy scores and I got tired of it.

MARIO GALAXY, MOTHAFUCKAS.

I'm only two stars in, but this game is ridiculously fun (and dizzifying). Its gotten off to a much better start than Sunshine did- hopefully it'll be better than that one.
