They actually go through a rigorous screening process. Only about 3 of 29 guys that apply actually get the job. After that all it is consists of blowing your load into a cup and handing it off to the nurse and walking out with a check. They're selective about the people too, in terms of social class. You have to be atleast 5'9", be a college student, firefighter, or police officer, and be in top physical shape.

In some cases it is best to find a sperm donor similar in height to the mother. If I wanted to conceive and had a say in height, I'd want a kid similar to me or my partner in height. I'm 5'7" so 5'9" is not a big deal, but if I was shorter or had a shorter partner I'd want a shorter kid.

I think that would be a shit law. What's the need? Being the genetic parent of someone isn't worth squat compared to being the actual caretaker of a child. Letting children contact their biological "parents" is a pile of confused priorities.
