Yes, horrible movie. I didn't enjoy any part of that movie.

There was one bit where he lost it completely, and it gave you a glimpse of how good an actor he is. He does throw himself into things...

Speaking of Cusack, should I watch Say Anything?

Just started UHF. Already made me laugh out loud three times in 2 minutes. Weird Al is brilliant!

Great 80s teen flick. Not groundbreaking but a fun film. Really captures the fleeting nature of teenage relationships.

Agree on that, if you liked it ok, you might want to check out EM Embalming if you have not seen it.

Reign Over Me - great movie. it wasn't perfect (the female characters were kinda shallow and some of the dialog was a little awkward), but its not often you see a movie with this much emotional grey area.

Saw I Am Legend. I really liked it, probably my favorite movie that has anything to do with zombie-type apocalypse things ever, since most movies of that kind generally suck. Will Smith gave an amazing performance, I thought...

I really want to see No Country for Old Men.

Zodiac - This movie was great for the last hour... the start was nice but the middle could have been cut out. Definitely should have been 30~ minutes shorter.

Yeah, it was too long and had a bit of an anticlimactic ending. It was building up great and getting me anticipated, but at the end I was just like "wat"

I liked the stuff that focused on Jake Gyllenhaal's obsession and thought that had sort of a climax going for it... but the part in the middle with the investigator just didn't feel needed, they probably could have summed it up with a brief flash of text or voiceover or something.

I agree. And Sandler suprised the hell out of me with his performance.

Well I thought the whole point of the film is that it was long, episodic and never came to any real conclusions - just like the Zodiac case.

Great film full of great performances. And it had Casey Jones and Mike from Phantasm II :dio:

Yes! Very surprising.

RW: The Edukators - was expecting a completely different ending. Not great, it lacked something. Not bad overall. 6/10

I guess

i thought it came to a pretty clear conclusion incriminating the guy whose house they searched :o

Eastern Promises - an unpredictable and very dark drama (don't go into this expecting an action movie!!!). it takes some patience because, like A History of Violence, David Cronenberg is more interested in fleshing out the characters for the first half rather than pushing the story relentlessly onward.

Alien vs Predator: Requiem

Good mindless, violent, sci-fi action. A hell of a lot better than the original, in my opinion.

Saw the trailer for that earlier today, looks quite good. Plus Michelle from 24's in it!

Watched a load of dvds with my little sister today, including Batman Begins and Pride And Prejudice (the BBC series from about ten years ago, better than the Kiera Knightley one). Then got drunk, then watched Knocked Up with the parents, for some reason, they hated it, I laughed quite a bit.

So no Rush classic this week, alas.

I really liked that movie. It is probably my favorite movie of the year. Viggo is so impressive as an actor. The movie was better than History of Violence and the main fight scene was badass despite its obvious negative aspect. I was required to watch the movie with subtitles because of the Russian accents and my awful hearing but nonetheless the movie was awesome.

Shitty ending set up by a deeply unsatisfying twist. Still quite a good film.

I saw I Am Legend last night. Even though it did more or less sucumb to the it's-a-zombie-movie-so-there's-going-to-be-a-third-act-collapse routine I still enjoyed it very much.

Why can't Will Smith be such a good actor all the time? He was terrific. And that scene when he follows the dog into the dark was terrifying. Shame the zombie guys looked so awful, the computer effects just looked unfinished.

Right, but then he died of a heart attack. It's kind of hard to prosecute a dead man.
