Point Break

the final fantasy move?

Nope, cheesy action movie with Keanu Reeves investigating a gang of bank-robbing surfers. And has Dr Cox from Scrubs taking part in the worst comeback in movie history.

Dr Cox: You're a real blue flame special, aren't you, son? Young, dumb and full of come, I know. What I don't know is how you got assigned here. Guess we must just have ourselves an asshole shortage, huh?

Keanu: [after a 30 second pause] Not so far...

That's such a dreadful film. Funny, but dreadful.

Imagine You and Me was pretty bad, too.

Point Break was awesome!

I watched Pulp Fiction and Smokin Aces. The latter was poor.

Off the Black - good movie. Nick Nolte's performance as a drunken, lonely baseball fanatic who's main pleasure in life is being the umpire for high school games is hypnotizing. He's like the Tom Waits of acting.

I'll try not to make this the only thread I post in, but I watched quite a few movies in the past couple of days:

American Psycho, It's Alive, 1408, Four Brothers, Cannibal Holocaust, From Beyond, Dead Next Door, A few other 70's Italian films I don't remember the names to, because they all have at least three names anyway.

First time? It is required viewing for anyone who is even remotely interested in music as a whole not just metal. The cucumber scene has me rolling every time.

First time, yes. My favourite bit was the Graceland visit. "Barbershop raga," .

O Brother Where Art Thou? again. Excellent soundtrack, the film not quite as good on the second viewing but still great. I heart the Coens...

Man, like one of the most boring films I've ever seen.

Balls, I saw it long before I came to the US, and my goodness I wanted to kill myself. Honestly I can't remember anything about it except it goes on and on and on and on and on....

There were a few funny parts, but overall pretty "eh".

Sherrybaby - Depressing yet well-acted. Something for everyone!

War: Statham and Jet Li have disappointed me again. Two badasses in one movie seems to only work for Chuck and Bruce Lee.

Shoot em Up: Goofy, funny but nothing amazing.

I was in the mood for some action movies. I can't wait til Tuesday when Sunshine comes out on dvd.

That movie was a good chance for maggie gyllenhaal to bring the actingpwn

Vitus - Cute and well-done.

Where the Truth Lies - pretty boring mystery type thing. none of the characters really made me care about them in any way and there was at least one plot hole :\

there were lots of tits and sex though

Saw Juno last night. It was hilarious and actually quite heartwarming. Great acting all around, especially from Ellen Page, Michael Cera, and Jason Bateman.

Conan the Barbarian. OH MY GOD IT'S GOOD. One of the most overlooked Arnie movies-I need to see Conan the Destroyer now.
