The Evil Dead movies are actually supposed to be funny- especially the third one, Army of Darkness, is supposed to be hilarious (and it is).

Unfortunately i can't find the third one, but I'll watch the first one as soon as I have a chance.

I agree.

Evil Dead - pure horror (but silly). Occasionaly scary and often repulsive.

Evil Dead 2 - horror/comedy. Never scary but always fun and often funny.

Evil Dead 3 - comedy in a horror environment. Not funny. Not fucking funny! That Three Stooges scene feels like it's about three days long. Graaagh. Bad.

The Simpsons Movie - thank god this wasn't as bad as the show is now or else a little (maybe large...) bit of my inner child would have died. There was a handful of lame jokes but overall it was awesome.

Just saw Kingdom of Heaven, I thought it was pretty impressive. The visuals in the movie were wonderful, the scenery was top notch. Very powerful film with great execution, everything felt fresh and was entertaining all the way to the end.

Yeah well I heard you "like" children.

At least, that's what I'm telling everyone.

That was only one time and one eight year old! One time!

Okay, maybe two or three.

But it has been around for 17 years. No show could last that long and keep the quality that they have maintained. The new episodes are still better than Amer Dad or whatever simpsons rip off Fox has now.

The movie is actually really funny though.

Death Proof - Not that I'm a massive Tarantino fan, but this was very poor. The crashes and the lap dance were the only decent bits, if I wanted to hear annoying women yapping on constantly I'd listen to Woman's Hour.

Or Loose Women. That show is enough to turn you into a misogynist.

Nope, nothing has been maintained for closing on 10 years now. The episodes since around the turn of the century saw a bit of a dip in quality but were still mostly enjoyable and often very surreal. The last 5 or so years have just been dreadful. I've given up watching it (anyone remember when a new Simpsons episode on Sunday was like a religious experience?), I was thinking to myself at the end of nearly every episode "well, at least it won't ever get worse than that one." And I was consistently proved wrong.

Even the lapdance was crap. I liked some of the banter Kurt had in the bar and the crashes, but that was more or less it. The penultimate carchase was just silly. Just stop and let her climb down guys!

I felt sorry for Kurt in the end.
