Sweeney Todd- I'm a sucker for musicals, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and morbid humour, so its no surprise that I loved this movie. Some great humour, fantastic acting all around (Sascha Baron Cohen was awesome in his short role) and just all around depression mixed with some fun.

I saw this a couple weeks ago, but There Will Be Blood is one of the greatest films I've ever seen. Best of 2007.

Perfect Stranger...very mediocre, run-of-the-mill thriller with Halle Berry and Bruce Willis.

The Hoax - rather fun film about Richard Gere pretending to have Howard Hughes' permission to write an autobiography.

Yes, a great film!

Would you recommend it to a man who is sick to fucking death of Tim Burton's "oooh it's all so delightfully dark and gothic and no it doesn't need to make any sense because it's all so delightfully dark and gothic so that's, like, the point" style?

Actually, I was that exact man before seeing this film. In fact, I still am that man, but this film is an exception to the rest of his irritating ouevre. Not quite sure why, I guess partly because it's much more ambitious than his other sutff, and partly because the story it's based on is a good one. So yes, I would recommend it to you. Although if you are not remotely into musicals I wouldn't bother.

The Butterfly Effect.

Yes, I get it filmmakers, you're clever. Now figure out which of the changing history rule sets you want your film to operate on and stop jumping between the two.

Juno

Call me a pussy, but I loved it . Extremely well-written and very funny, although the thing that made it for me was Juno being such a likeable character. Ellen page is hot :dio:

Have you seen her in Hard Candy? It's not gory and worth a watch.

No, I haven't. I've heard it's good, though, and wanted to see it even before I saw Juno.

Hard Candy is an excellent film.

Watched Susperia again last night. Sorry, Charles, but it doesn't get better each time...

Unfortunately that is the wrong answer. Clearly you are watching it wrong.

Maybe the volume was too loud or something.

I loved Juno as well, it's adorable. the Pie-balls part is probably my favourite scene.
