No films today. We're going to see Sweeney Todd tomorrow though, I'm pretty sure it's going to be great.

So yeah, I watched Fight Club earlier today. Very good, I really liked it...

I love that movie :dio: Generally i hate modern films that try to be somewhat literary and have a point, But Fight Club really floats my boat. Very layered film.

Also, another recent watch of a modern movie that i really liked was Mulholland Drive. David Lynch is a god.

Watched Van Helsing in Germany. Seemed magically better when dubbed in German.

Rocket Science - Noodles, this movie made me think of you man. I don't know why. Anyway, it was excellent. Very funny and very charming. 8.5/10

does that make me the resident awkward teenager? :O I watched it earlier today just 'cause you said that, reminded me of Little Miss Sunshine. I loved the jokes.

I watched Michael Moore's SICKO last night. It made me want to pack up and move to a different country. What a tragic system we're caught in here in the US. :omfg:

The Man in the Iron Mask - complete shit. the lines are beyond awful:
"By loving you I am committing treason against France... but by not loving you, I am committing treason against my heart"
then british TV puts on the most awesomely unnecessary subtitles. the best part was when a character was panting and the subtitles said, plainly:
(PANTS)

i lol'd.

Haha, I was going to watch that one yesterday but for some reason I didn't. Sounds like I didn't miss anything

Juno - Pretty decent. I'll never understand how it can have 8.3/1o on IMDB though  6/10

Live Free or Die - inept criminal in a small town gets caught in black comedy. a bit like Fargo, but not as good. worth watching.

Juno is a good movie, but i agree that it's been blown up a bit.

talk about hyped movies, what about Little Miss Sunshine? am i the only one that absolutely hated it? i mean maybe there's some brilliant insight on the meaning of life or the human condition or something, but it had ZERO laughs, even though it was billed as a comedy.

I didn't hate little miss sunshine but I was grossly disappointed based on the way people were hyping it. Steve Carell (sp) was pretty much my favorite thing about it.

Yeah. I liked the smackhead grandfather as well, but the silent emo and the stripping kid were just annoying.

wat? hilarious where? name a lol moment.

even Steve Carell, it wasn't like only he could have done that role. i dunno.
yes, the dad is.. that kind of person. you know. and the kid took a vow of silence, etc. etc. i still don't get it.

clearly the grandfather was the most awesome character.
