Grim Fadango!

Where do I begin?

I got my 360 back and i have been playing the hell out of it. Mostly Call of Duty 4 and NHL 2K8. But I have also been enjoying:
Burnout Paradise
Rock Band
Shadowrun (not so much)
The Outfit

But more importantly,

I GOT A WII!!

Right now I only have Wii Sports and one controller, but my friend is letting me borrow Zelda and Super Mario Galaxy. And you can bet your bottom dollar that I will get Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

As soon as it comes out, we are doing online play every day.

I'm coming too!

If there is another American who is going to get Super Smash Bros., let me know so we can have an epic 2 vs. 2 battle with Canada.

I sold my Devil May Cry 4 and Rainbow Six: Vegas today and bought The Orange Box and Jade Empire for the Xbox. I've already finished all the games in The Orange Box but I'll probably play them again and I really wanted Team Fortress 2. I wasn't planning on buying Jade Empire but it was really cheap and KOTOR 1 and 2 were impossible to find.

KOTOR= Knights Of The Old Republic I assume?

I have copies of both and I never play them. We could strike a deal. PM me.

Anyway, Jade Empire wasn't really the way I expected it to be. I thought it'd be turn based like the KOTOR games. Oh and why aren't there any people online on Team Fortress 2?

On the topic of adventure games, now that Sam & Max S1E1 has gotten me back into an adventure gaming mood, I'm thinking I may someday pick up a used copy of the old PC game The Neverhood. It's a claymation adventure game from Dreamworks Interactive (ie. Steven Spielberg's game company) released in, I believe, 1996. The demo actually works on Windows XP, provided you run it in Windows 95 compatibility mode.

I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up in the past but here it goes.....

Would anyone here be interested in trading games, selling games, or flat out just getting rid of stuff you don't want or play anymore. I have quite a few titles gathering dust. I'll get a list together or if anyone is interested, just state which games you're looking for.

i borrowed PES 6 for the PC from a portuguese student, awesome.

also tonight i played my first game of King. i love King but hadn't played it in about 3 or 4 months. i don't know about the you guys, but i love card games, and they are VERY popular in Portugal, especially among university students (you can literally go into any university common room with a pack of cards and find like 10 people wanting to play). i don't mean just games like Poker or Blackjack, also other ones like King, Sueca or "asshole". anyone else like them?

Man when I was in highschool we played asshole all the time. Pretty much an everyday thing. i have never heard of King though.

Also, today I pre-ordered Super Smash Bros. Brawl. So I am guaranteed one come March 9th. Let the countdown begin.

What's sad is that I actually wanted one of these things back in late-1995/early-1996. Mostly because I was such a big Nintendo fanboy that I basically HAD to own any game with the word "Mario" in its title. I have to admit, I would like to play Wario Land sometime.

King is played mostly in Portugal, Brazil and France, so i guess it's normal that most people don't know it. great game, though.

Asshole is the one where you try to dump your cards before everyone else, right? if so then awesome.

Sueca is the most popular card game in Portugal i think, similar to Chakri (popular with Indians). the "italian" sueca variation is my favourite.

talk about primitive games, i just finished my first ever game of Monopoly. it only took some 6 hours, but we got there. it sucked. you win if you're lucky enough to land on available squares, and buy everything you can, especially the last two.

I finally loaned Gears of War from my friend. Looks like I'll own this game on hardcore. CoD4 Veteran!
