Maniac, Friday the 13th part 3 and 4. On right, I also watched X-Men 2 so I could remember what production values look like.

Lust, Caution - espionage/romance in Shanghai. Sad and well-done, although I think the relationship between the two main characters could have been elaborated more (I mean it was a two and a half our long movie focused around them and their relationship is some glances, one conversation and a bunch of sex scenes)

The Invasion - Painfully crap. Eeeeeeevil aliens are invading! They want to end pain and suffering and rape and war by sneezing on your face and walking oddly! Aiiiiiii! Boring.

Carrie - Twisted. Goes from being wonderfully pervy at the start with the shower shots, to sickeningly sweet and slooooooow at the prom, to being completely batshit. Fine proof that John Travolta hasn't improved his acting one iota, as well. And the mother's death scene? Orgasmic. The ending managed to make me jump as well, even though I knew it was coming.

I watched Vacancy the other night. As a thriller I guess it wasn't too bad but it just took damn long. Plus, some of it was ridiculous. Watching Kate Beckinsale hit those two guys with her car was worth the wait!!

I think it definitely played on everyone's fear of pulling over and staying the night in some forsaken little dump of a motel being run by creepy ass people.

Didn't Psycho do that however many years ago?

No Country For Old Men - perfect movie. Even though it left out one kind of important part, it captured the feeling of the book perfectly so that's excusable.

Memento - Oddly enough I didn't feel WTF? at all when it finished. I had a good idea what just happened and I knew it was open to interpretation and I had my own. And I sometimes don't understand spongebob cartoons. Then again I'm a different person entirely when I'm drunk.

King of California - kinda like Little Miss Sunshine except instead of laughing at the quirky family and feeling happy despite their failure, I just felt sorry for the girl and the ending was really depressing

I liked it.

King of California. Michael Douglas plays a great crazy guy, and for the most part this movie was very entertaining. However, it is very unlikely. Anyway, another good one for the year 8/10

Taxi Driver - 8.5/10 Like Se7en this is a movie I've had plenty of chances to see but for some reason just didn't until now. Glad I finally got around to it. DeNiro was amazing.

30 Days of Night - 7/10 Better than what I was expecting. Don't think I'd ever watch it again though.

Semi-Pro - Will Ferrell could get a new fucking idea already, what's with this retarded sportsman obsession?

He plays the same kind of character in all of his roles. The big, arrogant oblivoius idiot. I don't know why he is so popular

The Heartbreak Kid - 7/10 Some really funny moments, comedy takes a front seat over the cheese and romance which was welcome.

In The Valley of Elah - 9/10 Just awesome.. Tommy Lee Jones is amazing.

Saw "There Will Be Blood" last night. I thought it was fucking brilliant! The best movie I have seen in a looong time. It is so far ahead of its time. I'll bet there will be more movies like this in the future.

Home Of The Brave - Meh overall, but nice to be reminded that Uncle Sam can act when he's not collecting easy cheques. And Jessica Biel was nearly acting at one point!
