I've come to the conclusion that Avenged Sevenfold isn't that bad. City of Evil is actually pretty good...although the singer is annoying sometimes, most of the times he's perfectly fine and the other members are competent at the very least. I don't think people give them enough credit for originality, either.

Funny, I saw one of their videos on TV just a few minutes ago and was thinking, "hey, this band are every bit as fucking horrible as they are generally made out to be."

I really don't understand how a legit metalhead could genuinely hate City of Evil, because it really isn't bad at all. I think most people just hate their image, which would make sense since you saw a video.

They sound a little too plasticized for my taste. Kinda like an Emo band who really wants to play Metal, but can't pull it off at all, instead producing a sort of Pop/Emo/Metal hybrid that just doesn't work with me at all.

Oh, and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drFbPgWFr1g

What the hell is happening at 00:27 in that video? Looks like they're picking some kid up from the audience. lol.

Oh and although I'm not a fan of the band, I like this one:

Fuck, I'm trying so hard to remember this one song, but I just can't.

It's quite fast, upbeat, and anthemic and I think the chorus has something like "...DOWN DOWN DOWN- TO THE" something. It sounds sorta Irish if I remember correctly. I don't remember if I even liked it, but this is driving me insane, I need to know what this song is.

Yeah that's a decent one from their new CD. I liked CoE a lot better though.

Anyone know if pre-ordering stuff on amazon guarantees that they'll actually have the thing in stock for you when it comes out?

Actually it was the gayboy vocals and pop-punk guitar playing that did it for me.

So I can't decide on a graduation dress for the evening portion... I have two options.

option 1

I would most likely also buy those shoes, I'm practically inlove with them. And I would most likely get the dress taylored so it's slightly shorter than it shows on the model.

option 2

Okay, this one on me won't look as slutty. It will be slightly longer, right to the top of my knee, i'm sure. And I'm going to taylor it so that it isn't so... "boobish"? :P

soo?

*definitely the wrong place to ask*[/url]

If I was taking you and you turned up wearing the second dress I'd shut the door in your face.

I am, actually leaning towards the first more than the second. The beauty about the second one is that it's 45 dollars, as opposed to 170 for the former...

if i hadn't seen the price difference, i'd say go for the first. it's got a cool classic look to it.

I like the second better, but I'm partial to empire waistlines and halter necks. Empire waists always make your legs look longer (by enlongating the leg line) and emphasize what's generally the narrowest part of your body. You also might not have to get the second dress altered too much to decrease the decollage...that model has a fairly substantial chest to begin with. Depending on how active you get (my graduation shindig wasn't formal by any stretch of the imagination, and was on a boat on the Potomac, so I've no idea what you all will be doing), well...you might not want something strapless. Incidents might occur. Finally, that's a pretty color, and depending on what underwear you own, you might end up spending even more with the first one, since you'll have to wear a flesh-toned bra and panties, because white shows under white. (I learned this last year; my college has a graduation tradition that involves wearing white. Fortunately, this information was imparted to me beforehand.)

I like the second one more but I think the first one will look better on you, judging by the photos I've seen, for many reasons which I'm too lazy to type now. I agree with Zad since both look fine and with Carni's advice. But I'd still say go for the white one if you can afford it, I believe that it'll look better on you than the red one.

Oh and another thing:

So, like, have people seen what Two-Face is going to look like in the new Batman yet?

Here's a hint: it's better than in Batman Forever.

As Batman Forever was an utterly boring movie, it cannot be worse...

no, that's batman begins (and yeah, it is brilliant). batman forever and batman and robin were the two movies that preceded it, and they're both utter shit. uma thurman was quite hot in B&R though :P

I didn't like Batman Begins either... Boring!
The only two Batman movies I enjoyed were the ones directed by Tim Burton.
