Whoa man. Whoa. Rocky IV was awesome. It was crap, but it was awesome crap. Rocky gets super pissed, trains in Siberia, grows a beard, and single-handedly takes down communism. And it had a robot. And sure Dolph loses, but he has some of the best lines in the movie.

Seriously. Anybody who doesn't like Rocky IV is clearly a communist who wants nothing more than to kill hard working Americans like Apollo Creed.

Plus ROCKY IV has an amazing soundtrack with lots of cool instrumentals by Vince Di Cola.

Charlie Wilson's War - Not bad at all, but the ending could have used a pinch less fluff.

Halloween H20

First time watching this in 9 years. For what it is, it is ok. But compared to the originals it sucks. Just a lot of rehashed scares from the old movies. And a lot of Jamie Lee Curtis getting scared of people sneaking up on her. Plus Josh Hartnett pisses me off. 17 my ass.

Before Sunrise

One of the best love stories I've ever seen.

Next: Before Sunset

Blue Velvet.
I liked it, good movie. Not as weird and different as I thought though. Looking forward to Wild at Heart and also to re-watch Mulholland Drive someday to refresh my memory on just how odd it was.

Shaun of the Dead.

I've seen it before like, but the whole film is immortalised by a fat white guy pulling up in a Jag and saying "sup niggaz?" Great film, as is Hot Fuzz.

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

I liked it, not the masterpiece that people told me it was, but it was pretty damn solid. Oh, and there were hot french chicks.

My buddy is over for the week and he has not seen any of the Judd Apatow-Will Ferrel-Seth Rogan-etc... movies. So I am trying to get him caught up. We have so far watched:

Taledega Nights
Blades of Glory
The 40 Year Old Virgin

Later on this week we will see Knocked Up and Superbad.

And on Tuesday we are going to see Iron Man. Tuesday is cheep night, aand I am very cheep.

Phantom of the Opera (1925 version)

Saw this at the cinema with an ambient band performing a live soundtrack where once I guess there would have been a tinkly piano player.

This was so cool! Normally I am mainly interested in post NotLD horror but this film was way before its time. The live soundtrack adds an awful lot as well. Amazingly, there are certain scenes of this film that are in full colour! Pretty impressive for the 1920s.

Nightmare On Elm Street 5. After 3, the best of the series.

I enjoyed it, but I'm rather biased. I've never been a huge fan of iron man in the first place, but it was good over all.

...Like the animated version? That movie is absolute bullshit. Ruined the epic poem so much.
