The PS3 is a gigantic smouldering failure of a console.
I'd still rather have one than a Wii. At least the PS3 has Blu-ray. I dunno, I just don't know a single person who still plays their Wii, including my best friend who is (gasp) a woman.
I love how NO ONE remembers the slow starts of the PS1/2 and how they turned around with huge titles, exclusives, and other such things that makes a PS2 still a top seller today.
It'll happen with the PS3. Give it time. Calling it a failure is a huge joke.
As far as exclusives:
Resistance: Fall Of Man
Ratchet and Clank Future
Haze
Warhawk and it's expansion
UT3
Time Crisis 4
Are all great. Also if you look at the future lineup, there's going to be some really solid shit coming out. If you enjoyed the PS2, there's no reason not to end up with a PS3 at some point.
Also the PS3 has plenty of the multiconsole releases. The 360 doesn't really have too many more exclusives that make it any more solid of a buy. I sold off my 360 out of boredom with the consoles exclusives and end up with a PSP ( Which I own more games for than I did my 360 ).
It depends on taste... But I grew up with everything but Sony until I had a PS1 during highschool and recently a PS2 2 years ago followed by a PS3 purchase and then a trade in of my 360 for a PSP. The amount of titles I've owned on Sony consoles far trumps that of what I've had on any other.
Before selling my PS1 I had over 40 titles, mostly exclusives, with my PS2 I have almost 60, mostly exclusives, my PSP I have 10, all exclusive ( Still working on buying more titles I've missed ) and for my PS3 I have what I mentioned above and I've sold a couple exclusives. Just give it time and the library WILL blow up to be huge. If anything that's been proven in the past two generations of Sony's home consoles.
The PS3 also just has so many other features outside of being the best blu-ray player ( and still the best blu-ray buy, and argue it if you want but DVD will go the way of tape soon enough ) including PSP remote play, the PSN and soon the home feature. It's just really going to blow up as a console in the next couple years in my opinion.
But that's just my opinion.
