La Comunidad (English title: Common Wealth) - 7/10

Wow, Alex de la Iglesia is one sick, sick person. I thought "Ferpect Crime" was quite weird but this is far more out there. A real estate agent moves into an apartment where she discovers a corpse and a lot of money. Things take a turn for the worse when the other people in the apartment finds out what's going on - a community consisting of a Star Wars nerd with a Darth Vader mask, a really fat kid, an old man with a knife and many other peculiar characters. One of the most fucked up films I've ever seen.

I didn't like it either, mostly because of that dude with the eyebrows, god I hate that guy, Owen Wilson is shit too. The first half of the film was really slowly built up, it was really uninteresting and didn't have very engaging dialogue. It's a lot like I Heart Huckabees or The Royal Tenenbaums, obviously. I just don't find them interesting.

Yeah. I mean, gawd, Owen Wilson in a bandage, my gosh, that's so quirky. Having Bill Murray and Natalie Portman in cameos! Fuck off!

You're right about the name, though.

Ha ha sounds like a great movie, Alex de la Iglesia always includes weird characthers in their movies a favourite of mine is "Dia De La Bestia".

Just watched The Story of Metal on MTV VH1. Wow that was a really nice documentary, it brought back all those metal memories from the 80s and put many things into better focus and understanding. It did not go very deep or feature many bands but trying to cover 30 years in a couple of hours is not an easy feat and considering that, that documentary was really good.

Diary of the Dead.
I love zombies, end of the world scenarios and all that goody stuff so Diary of the Dead was excellent in these regards. It's not particularly scary, but what did scare me a bit is how blunt I've become to fictional and cinematic violence over the years. In the ending shot I thought to myself, hey, that is nicely done (a head got torn apart in half). Any sane person would be disgusted or something, right?

And even worse, instead of thanking that all the horrors are over so that I could finally get to sleep, I find myself wanting moaaar. More zombiestuff, more bloodsplatter and more end of the world tragedies.

i found that while watching the last George A Romera movie (Dawn of the Dead?), and instead of being grossed out by the gore i was just like "lol awesome". i'm actually pretty sensitive to blood and stuff if i know it's real though

Yeah think Romero wrote the original screenplay or whaterver it's called. I thought it was pretty awesome too. That one and 28 Weeks Later are brilliant.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. This is how a western is supposed to be, not that 3:10 to Yuma crap. 7/10.

:dio:

Started PS I Love You but got bored halfway through. I've never heard such a reeediculous Oirish accent, and Hillary Swank is like a rubbish version of Jennifer Garner.

Has anybody seen this little movie?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sal%C3%B2_o_le_120_giornate_di_Sodoma#cite_note-0

It's called Salo or 120 Days of Sodom.

I really don't know how to describe this movie, it's probably THE most fucked up movie i have seen so far. Without giving away too many spoilers, it contain gay sex, straight sex, fecal eating, torture in it's various form, extreme sadism, humilation and facism.

After watching this movie, i have no problem understanding why the director was brutally murdered after the release of this film.

This is pretty much the most depraved movie ever made, not recommeded for the faint of heart.

I WILL NEVER WATCH THIS AGAIN EVEN IF YOU PAID ME!!
